I haven't bought a single present yet, I normally have them in September when I see something on sale so anything referable to Christmas makes me nervous.

I saw mince pies in the Boots' snack section earlier this week and felt sick!

I noticed one up in my neighbour's house on Monday. At least 5ft tall, baubles and lights etc.

I love my tree and like to put it up in the first weekend of December, but that's just bonkers.

I think there will be lots of "fairy" lights up at the moment, it's Diwali :)

I'd be surprised to see any around here.
  • Last night was the first night of Diwali, and several days of celebration, we had a fabulous show of fireworks last night, and I am expecting the same for the next couple. I live in a fairly diverse area, so we see many different cultures celebrate festivals etc, I really enjoy them all.
The children I mind spent today drawing Rangoli patterns on the path in front of the house, and making saltdough Diyas :)
