Beat My Quote! Travel Agents Thread
Comments
-
Hi,I would suggest that some people are not posting properly  ..ie without a quote to beat, number of passengers..or even a destination! Also nobody seems to be getting their quotes beaten!
For example there are LOADS from last year in the early pages, with dates gone by & hardly a 'quote beaten' or 'booked' to be seen. Please come back & update your postings!
Are we all posting unbeatable quotes?0 -

Its hard to say really - some people do not appear to have the courtesy to edit/update their post once their request is no longer valid :rolleyes:0 -
Travel Agents would be mental to waste their time on this thread! I think it's been shown repeatedly that the vast majority of people who use this thread are (new) users with no manners. Not / never was working.0

Its my second time posting a quote request on here and no reply so either no one is looking or I am just to good at getting the best price...I think its the first option
Seems Martin is using this thread just to bump the mebership numbers up as there are too many 1st posters
Time this thread was closed its a waste of bandwidthIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
The two most demoralising things a travel agent can do -
1. Look at their payslip
2. Try and help people on this thread!
I check several times a day. I do not bother replying to people if I can't beat their quote - what would be the point.
Of the ones I can beat I always PM them with details.
I would say out of the last 20 I've PM'd - two have booked with me, three or four have asked me for various other quotes that I've duly done and have come to nothing and all the rest have simply ignored me!
Probably 70% of the time the quotes on here are the cheapest people will get that particular holiday anyway as by the time they post here they've usually trawled the internet and agents getting the best price anyway.0 -
Oh and saveapenny - I checked yours and my best price was £40 more than you quote - so its a good deal!0

The Hotel: Park Hyatt Shanghai (not the Grand Hyatt)

I have been offered a price of £3178.00 for a twin centre honeymoon (for 2 lol) to Dubai (3 nights B&B) and Maldives (7 nights All Inclusive), 10 nights total.
The hotels offered are Tower Rotana in Dubai (Classic Room) and Kuramathi Village in the Maldives (Superior Room).
The dates are Monday 8th September (London Heathrow), returning on Sunday 21 September according to the itinerary I was given.
If you can beat this quote that would be great because my maximum budget is £3000
I am also open to other combinations of hotels as long as the Maldives resort is an all inclusive one.
Thanks in advance! :cool:0
