Thanks for your help, this is for my daughter and her best friend, they are at college so on a tight budget. Not necessary to be this particular hotel, it's the best they could find. Also dates can alter slightly, can go from 7th July and return by 13th August., want to stay 5/6 days. Don't need to be right in the centre but don't want to have to pay too much to get to tourist attractions in the city. Also looked at flying from Liverpool, but would need to consider cost of train to there in that case (we are in Huddersfield).

Thanks for your advice Sloppychops, it is reassuring to be told that the quote above was OK. We have booked.

Thomas Cook allow 15kg before charging for hold luggage, Thompsons would have cost us another £20.
