• Is there a booking fee: usually i go through Holidays Direct who beat these prices by about £40 and they dont charge a credit card booking fee

Hate to point this out - but Thomas Cook and Airtours/Mytravel are now the same company. You'd be on a Thomas Cook flight from Manchester.
