Have you considered the fact that you have tags on the line which prevents them taking over the service might just possibly be the fault of from whoever you have your service at the moment for failing to release the line and NOT the fault of Plusnet?
Thanks for clearing that up. I had no idea what tags meant ,as no explanation was given from Plusnet, you clearly do.
They managed to put my phone on ,I thought they used the same line?
All I know is I have paid for a service and have had no indication of when my broadband will be connected.....0 -

We're after feedback from people who have applied for this deal and want to know your experience and if you had any trouble getting the broadband.
Thanks for all help in advance0 -
I am with Plusnet and they have hacked into my account to download 2 'things' on my computer which I told them I DID NOT WANT. Yesterday I got my monthly D/D statement. One of these 'items' is free for 3 months and then ??? the other appeared on my account @ £5!
What are these 2 "things"?0 -

Tags are meant to be a system to prevent someone fraudulently or indeed maliciously transferring a BB service.
Unfortunately if the outgoing ISP fails to remove the tag or dare I say deliberately frustrates the process by "delaying things" in the sure knowledge that it will be the new ISP who gets the blame then the whole system seems to get bogged down in recriminations.0 -
One says Plusnet Protect
Which you would have to download and then install yourself. PlusNet can't do that.Pro Add On charge @£5.
You can add this but it's not on by default.I have never heard of them and was not asked.
I find it hard to believe that PlusNet would download and install something onto your PC - how would they do this?0 -
No, Plusnet will not answer emails as email is a totally insecure method of confidentially dealing with accounts and of ensuring that it really is the account holder who is contacting them.
Anyway email can easily be forged to appear to come from whoevever someone malicious wants it to be.0 -
Plusnet also assured me they could not hack into my computer to place these apps - but they DID! When I mentioned Trading Standards (and also writing to their CEO). I was told they "have now removed the offending apps"......????0

Yes. £55 arrived last week. No chasing was needed! Maybe we got lucky - I've heard of others having problems. The £70 from topcashback has also been paid into my bank account in the last few days.0
