Should be able to, as my PN router was just a re-badged BT HomeHub.0 -
Has anyone had problems with the cashback? I'm in the process of moving my dad over to Plusnet. I clicked the MSE big green referral button, but when I asked a Plusnet person about the cashback they said they could see no mention of it on the account.0

I've been with Plusnet for several years now. I've been lucky not to have had any problems, but I don't see them as any more or less competent than any other supplier. Their website is clunky and I don't find their billing easy to follow in regard to discounts and price changes.
The router they sent me some years ago (a Sagemcom 2704N) is as poor as any other ISP-supplied router in terms of Wi-Fi and other features. However, it gave superb performance on a long line in the middle of the Norfolk countryside. I'd previously used a Billion 7800N and a 2-Wire 2700HGV (the old BT Business Hub), both of which used to be recommended for long lines. The Sagemcom 2704N beat them both. It synced at 3 dB and hung on like a bulldog.0 -
Considering taking out contract with plusnet.
Anyone wanna warn me against them? or advise they are good.
Need a reliable service with no dropouts0 -
Personally I wouldn't. They were good at the start, but rubbish (slow speeds, poor and disinterested customer service) towards the end (a year ago for me now) once they were taken over by BT.0

Thanks. Probably have to rule them out them out then.0 -
Reliability of your line - proof against dropouts - will mostly rely on the good offices of monopoly BT-owned Openreach whose technicians (often subcontractors who know nothing about your locality) maintain the actual link to your local exchange. Good luck finding an alternative to them.0

Using the link from MSE I applied for the top pick, advertised as being 10Mb+ and when they checked they could only offer 1-4Mb max. We have an existing BT line from before and had faster service via BT on the same equipment .:( Will look elsewhere.........0

It's not "advertised as being 10Mb+", it's advertised as being "Average 10Mb Broadband". If they say you'll get 1-4Mb maximum then that's likely what you'll get from any ADSL supplier regardless of whether you used to get more. Time for fibre maybe.0 -
Takes forever to get through to someone. I have never had to wait less than 30 mins.
Often when I get through I get put on hold or transferred to another department and have to wait additional time (10-20mins) to get to the new person.
Very poor customer service and I plan to vote with my feet upon renewal.
Adding a link for the plusnet hold times...see for yourself how bad they are:
