Cost for brake fluid change for a 1.0 VVTI Yaris?

That is most certainly not the case for businesses though. If a business drops off any waste at a free recycling site meant for domestic use they are breaking the law. As much as taking a carrier bag with a tea bag in it home and placing it in your household waste bins is technically breaking the law. Any garage wanting to be compliant has to pay to dispose of their waste and hazardous waste (yes break fluid) is expensive to get rid of.
Agreed, but my post was specifically referring to the cost of disposing of brake fluid following a DIY fluid change.0 -

I am literally AMAZED that no one's picked you up on this.
'I pay' = present tense, implying current ownership.
6 cylinder BMW = NOT a V8 E92 M3.
Ergo, E92 M3 = figment of imagination.0 -

The darkmatter special edition 101 M3 is a straight 6. :rotfl:0 -

Okay I have an update. For now I will not attempt to do it myself, I would rather witness someone first hand then try myself at a later stage when I have a little more knowledge. For now I will just stick with DIY oil chage and oil filter using syphon for my Audi. Unfortunately the oil filter is underneath the car so syphoning would be pointless. I thought I'd attempt this myself, but would rather let the garage do it with the brake fluid change. Once I have some time to look into trolley jacks and axle stands I'll try it later down the line...
Did a bit of price searching and Toyota main dealer (Edgware Rd, London) actually came out pretty cheap. After some haggling they agreed with £39 for the brake fluid change, £70 for the oil change and filter and £50 for the wheel alignment. All include VAT and labour.
I knew I could still get it for cheaper, so I tried all the local 'smaller' independent garages that cater for all cars and makes. I tried a place called Harrow Service Centre (http://www.harrowservice.co.uk/) and they are a complete rip off!!! I would have thought they should at least be cheaper than the main dealers but apparently not.
They initally wanted to charge £130 plus VAT for an oil change, £60 plus VAT for brake fluid change and £40 plus VAT for front wheel alignment, bring the total to £276!! All for a 1 litre Yaris!
I pointed out to them that Toyota main dealers, as part of their fixed rate servicing, charge £125 for an"intermidiate" service, plus an additional £39 for the brake fluid change and £50 for the front wheel alignment. (all including labour and VAT ) And this was the price before I even negotiated with Toyota!
I also mentioned that £130 plus VAT for an oil change for a 1 litre Yaris is the same I pay for a 6 cylinder BMW with twice the oil capacity and higher oil grade. Long story short, Harrow Service said the best they could do was £240 inc VAT and labour. Still absolutely ridiculous as its more than the original "standard rate" if the Toyota main dealers.
Anywho, I found another smaller garage who said he'll do the oil change, brake fluid and alignment all for £120 total.
Quoted in full, just for the purposes of pre-edit protection, you understand.0 -

Noticed it last night, was praying it wasn't changed before I got a chance to reply this morning.

I meant I pay around £130ish for an oil change for my LAST vehicle which was a 6 cylinder 330i with 6.5 litre capacity (double to that of the Yaris which is 3.2 litres).
As for my M that's a little more over 8 litres and I certainly pay a fair bit more than £130 for an oil change.
Honestly you guys read into things too much0 -

What did I say in my original post that was bullsh*t? I said that the garage is overcharging for an oil change, which is what I pay for a 6 cylinder BMW oil change, I did not say I pay that much for an M oil change and neither did I in anyway imply that the M has 6 cylinders0
