Living room and hall Done
Bathroom Done
I have been busy this morning! Had to make up for no flying yesterday - lots of rushing around with DD and appts, then visited my father in the afternoon.
Missymoo81 I've forgotten how old your little ones are, but they can probably tidy toys away, if you make it a game or a competition. Just as well I wasn't on flylady when mine were babies, as we lived in a chaotic hovel unless someone was coming round. In fact, if mine saw a vacuum, they would ask who was visiting.
Hex I have rules? Wow. My one revelation:
1. Decide what the main purpose of a room is
2. Only keep in that room what is relevant for that main purpose
3. Have the correct storage for those items.
It's still a work in progress, being hampered by DS1 running his own business from home. I think the cloakroom may be the only room that doesn't contain anything of his, just because it's too small!
I greatly covet your bookshelves. And your wisteria.
boddy you may not need anyone, but they want to come because they love you. Take care.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

It is a safeguarding issue and phoning parents is important to ensure they know what is going on and hopefully can support the student and the school. Different parents will have different views on such subjects but schools need to follow a zero tolerance line. Some schools do drugs test pupils, they are allowed to do so. The school should have a drugs policy which you may be able to view online.
So it's still the school's business when the alleged incident happened at a weekend, in civilian clothes, no where near the school?
Strange that I've still not received a call from the school. I'm starting to think it wasn't a real member of staff that phoned the parents
DW unloaded and reloaded.
DCat5 told off for stealing my defrosting chilli pepper of the worktop to play with
Clean towels and bedding put in airing cupboard
Job list start for the girls
And leftovers eaten as lunch.
Now I need your help, can someone please convince me that I do not need to keep all the plastic tubs I have
I have to get DD1 to tidy the "plastics cupboard" as it stresses me out so much and she does throw anything stained or broken but we still seem to have so many boxes, but I can't make myself bin them0 -

Absolutely most incidents of child neglect, sex abuse etc do not occur at school do they but if the school became aware then you would expect them to act. It is all about the welfare of pupils. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
It has now come to light (via lunchtime texts from DD2) that SJ has previously been caught selling cigarettes at school and that is why a call was made to her parents. Why she agreed to the weed thing we still don't know? DD2 says they're hardly speaking but SJ said that she's still allowed to be friends with DD2 (not sure I believe that).
I managed to rehome 3 large boxes to the baking drawer. They are now filled with candles, mini graters, cake decorations etc only problem now is I have no room for chocolate/ice moulds and cookie cutters  Project abandoned til DD1 get's home, she's better at organising than me
I have also cleaned out the fridge, binned and replaced, and cleaned the cooker hob and oven door. Oven cleaning can wait til later
Had a letter come informing me of my annual gas inspection (we're housing association). This is always an enjoyable experience  they moan that the meter is in the back of the cupboard under the stairs, well I didn't put it there! Then they moan cos they can't get the front of the boiler off. This is because when they fitted the new kitchen they put a cupboard too close to the boiler. It's safe as far as gas safety goes but too close practically.0 -
Ultrasound scan of poorly paws decluttered.
Wasn't too awful; I had a bit of a hard time coping with a bloke I never clapped eyes on before touching my hands, (this was the radiographer) but we're now a little further forward with gathering information to find out what's amiss.
There is apparently a lot of inflammation, just confined to the wrists - which makes sense, because the whole thing started when weird lumps came up on the sides of both wrists.
I told him of my RA and lupus diagnoses (1999 and 2003 respectively) and also that the most recent blood tests indicate that both conditions are currently quiescent. His reply was "Well, according to the ultrasound, they're not". So, I have to go for the electro-conductive thingy-wotsit test next week, then back to Dr S on 6th November, when he'll hopefully have all the results in front of him, and see where we go from there.
I shall attempt a little flippy-flapping, if not proper Flying, this afternoon.:o
I'm deeply sorry to see so many people feeling unwell, unhappy, or both; I'll leave a big pile of general posi-vibes in the corner; please help yourselves.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well done for coping LW, only a gentle flutter if anything this afternoon for you.
Popping out with DS2 now on an errand, I've been ordering bits and pieces online which I've been meaning to do for ages. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
G'd afternoon all.
LW well done for coping with the ultrasound bloke
Love the wool pigpen!
Calming vibes to wendywitch
I have got on quite well this morning - got the website up and running, yesterday then managed to download some photos and add them today. Thought I would have to go into town to buy a new flash drive but checked in the bits'n'bobs drawer and found that I'd got oneso only had to go out for 20 min, not as far as the town centre, to get some A3 photocopies. Now about to cut and stick notices and backing paper for display boards. Then I just need to put a resource box back together tidily and I will be ready to do the presentation this evening. Phew!
I have also cooked the bolognese ready for this evening's quick but filling mealDon't want my tummy rumbling between slides :rotfl:

fed up of the lergy in this house now
had to collect dd1 early from school then had a slight dilemma about what to do with her to get the other two! luckily my lovely older lady neighbour stepped into the breach - supergran!
just caught up with the thread. Minimal flying here
oh and just to chip in on bib-gate :rotfl: if you need to iron bibs, then go for it. only you know what works for you and your familyMy no.2 child was a super-dribbler - it was like a tap was turned on in his mouth. - until he was 2 and half (like someones elses child on here too!) I found a good solution was the double-bib method - a waterproof backed bib underneath and a normal cloth one on top - the waterproof one protected the clothes and I could change the top one more often - like every hour!, cos I had more of them. Some people swear by those bandana bibs, but they are really pricey and I would have needed about 50 of them!!!:rotfl:
