Lidl Screen Wash

IMHO,
Just because it is down to -60 or -70 does not mean you can dilute it, it will have a soap/cleaning agent, which, in it's "as supplied" dilution is "ready to use" for winter or possibly dilute to 50% for summer use.
If you dilute it too much maybe even 50% will render it useless to clean a winter windscreen. It may not freeze at dilution but it won't clean your screen because it's supposed to be "ready to use".

A lot of "winter" screenwash, incl. the Lidl stuff is formulated specifically that it can be diluted right down to that of a summer screen wash. The 50% ratio you mention is actually more than enough for a winter screenwash in the UK. I've had it down to a 5:1 ratio for the summer and it's been perfectly usable throughout most the year.IMHO,

My local Lidl had three bottles in last night when I went in. Still had plenty left over from last year but I bought another bottle anyway.
There may be more out there in other Lidl stores0 -

Right, -70c screen wash needed for a UK winter!!:rotfl:
The point is that you can massively dilute the stuff. :money:0 -

And most folks will be pouring it neat into a half-full washer bottle so getting somewhere around -30C capability.
When the jets squirt it onto a slushy windscreen it'll get diluted again.
And it's cheaper (or at least no more costly) than much weaker alternatives that many people will think is 'more than adequate' for the UK.0 -
On the shelves now. At least 6 big ones left in Gainsborough.0
