I didn't use a broker, didn't see any need to, so I went to natwest directly.

Tuesday- full application submitted in branch (accepted)
Wednesday evening- call from underwriters stating fully accepted
Thursday- valuation fee taken from account and survey done same day as they had a cancellation :)

Just waiting for the papers now. I did provide every piece of paperwork and wasn't asked for anymore so it shouldn't take long!

    Goodluck

The money for the vaulation has not been taken from my account yet.. How long is it usally for Natwest to take the money after agreeing the mortggae subject to valuation before formally offiering. We are not in a chain and I hope to be in by Christmas...

That happened the same day for me,

I had provided my broker with debit card details a few days prior, and when he advised me that the mortgage had been approved 'subject to valuation' I noticed that Natwest had processed 2 payments, one for the valuation itself and one for the valuation fee and one for the valuation admin fee (as noted on my KFI)

Might be worth chasing up - make sure they have the right card details etc?

Will do. How after they took money did it take to get evaulation undertaken and offer issued?

They processed the card payment last Friday, valuation today, broker says offer should be made sometime next week (they have service standards saying valuation will be done within 5 working days - can't remember now where I saw that!)

Fingers crossed it goes well for me (should do!) and fingers crossed you get yours sorted very soon!

The broker system validates the card details during the application process. If they were invalid, the application couldn't be submitted.
