Natwest Mortgage offer

The broker put the application in Tuesday following getting a offer in principle accepted. How long until I get a response.. its turning into a long nervous wait.

I was totally upfront with the broker on everything so there should be no surprises...

I am looking to borrow 150k and the broker said that Natwest would lend me 158k. So I'm not even looking to borrow the maxiumum amount they are offering.

If I got the offer in principle accepted is likely that the underwriter will support the application?

Depends on many factors not least getting a surveyor to inspect and value the property.

Natwest don't take any monies for survey etc until they have approved application.. The wife has had to credit searches today on her account so fingers crossed we know soon. We are also clearing all our debt on cards so hopefully that won't be an issue

Hi, according to the intermediary website they were underwriting applications from Wednesday today.

If they've asked any questions it may delay slightly.

My broker submitted application Monday and it got AIP, then fully submitted Tuesday, came back yesterday with some questions, which we responded to immediately, heard back after lunch today that it was progressing to valuation.

According to my bank Natwest have processed my debit card for the fees today for valuation.

Broker sent me an email from Natwest to say that the mortgage was approved now subject to valuation.

Have to say it's been very very fast!

The survey in itself forms part of the application process that has to be gone through before an offer will be made.

I am applying for mortgage through natwest. I have found them to be quick processing things but I have had to chase them up about certain things. For example I was told my valuation came back fine, so waited patiently for mortgage offer in post, started to worry when it hadn't arrived turns out they were waiting for payment of arrangement fee, but no one had contacted me to pay it. My advice would be to chase them up on things as it seems communication isn't their strong point! Good luck with app.

I have gone through John Charcol and so far I have had excellent service of them.

I agree! Similar experience here. Unless chased, nobody contacts the broker with queries.

I didn't use a broker so was dealing direct with natwest, after reading posts on here have to conclude using a good broker is definitely worth it. I'm sure he will chase your app for you. I had to wait a weekend to find out if I had been approved, I have never wanted a weekend to end so quickly!
