Am going to give the 5-2 diet a go starting today:eek:seeing as the Doc said I need to lose some weight and try and get my cholestrel down a bit;)so need to keep busy and not sit about on here;):hello:catchup later.
Would you not be safer trying the S/W way of eating ,not so drastic as 5-2, especially if you are taking medication .
I could help you with that it,s easy and am sure tweets would help, I have lost 3st.
Just a thought.0 -

The recipe I've used for the past 5 years is by Ruth Clemens, she was in the final of the Great British Bake off ages back and launched a website called the pink whisk.

It is a bit time consuming, the baking takes about 4 hours but you can do a couple of small cakes instead. the fruit keeps too, so long as it's sealed and stirred every now and then. i even used it to make a friend a surprise 40th cake in Feb. over 3 months seeped in rum and brandy, was delicious.
I think our nearest is Ashton, might make a special trip there soonJust saved this recipe too so thank you :A but will have to get a move on if I want to give it time to soak. Looking at the fruit mixes I might have to tweak them a little as I have loads of dates and cranberries to use up but it means mixing it up a bit, am sure it will be fine though. Do you have to use good quality spirits or is value stuff ok. We never have it in the house so would have to go and buy some specially

All different sizes and some of them make huuuuge webs. They are notorious for making webs across the doors so you get a face full of web first thing in the morning.
I wouldn't touch one but strangely they don't make me shudder the way those big indoor scurriers do......maybe because they're not interested in squatting in my house?
On that note, I have conkers in all of my rooms now and haven't seen a spider since I put them down. Coincidence? Or does it really work? Who knows
I might dangle conkers from the back door fc :rotfl:anything bigger than a money spider sends me all funny - irrational I know but am too long in the tooth to try to conquer the fear nowAm going to give the 5-2 diet a go starting today:eek:seeing as the Doc said I need to lose some weight and try and get my cholestrel down a bit;)so need to keep busy and not sit about on here;):hello:catchup later.
I tried the 5:2 nanny, I know it is only 2 days a week but those 2 days were miserable and I felt so listless that I had to stop. I have started monitoring my food intake on myfitnesspal and have lost 4lbs in just over a week :j I still eat some stuff that I shouldn't but not as much as I used to and always have a little something if I am hungry. I am on a weight loss programme from my gp called choose to change and they say eat regularly to keep your sugar levels stable which will keep your metabolism ticking over at a steady rate. Seems to be working for me but I know it might not be for everyone0 -
Picked 2 packs of these up in Sada yesterday at 60p each, there is an offer flashed on the box £2,50 cashback whey you buy 2 boxes. It`s nice to be important, but its more important to be nice.
