I said to eldest on Friday £120,000,000 on euromillions buy a ticket imagine what you could do with that.
He said I would buy my bedroom off you
He is going nowhere soon :rotfl:
My lad is going to live in the garage, it was designed for him, it has two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living room. So he and the wife can live there!100 -
No Locarr. You misquoted me and I defended what I said and corrected you on your misunderstanding. We can carry this on if you'd like but I'm sure it's annoying most of the elite.
My comment about not being able to put money into welfare was directly related to my comment about nurses wages vs MPs 11% pay rise.
MPs haven't received an 11% pay rise!
I also believe that MP's aren't paid enough...which is why we get so much dross and not enough quality £66,000, aint really a lot of money...some of my mates earn more than that and are not even high flyers, I earn well over half that for a lot less hassle...I wouldn't want their job!;)"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

One of my best friends has become engaged today to a lovely man… it is her 39th birthday, so we are busy planning the engagement party, wedding and the babies!!
Now he has asked the question, he has nothing to do with it!:D:D:D:D

I found out last week DD2 may be back home after 4th year while she takes time out to do a MA.
Secretly hoping she does live at home as she only came home for a month this summer.
I didn't realise that she won't get student finance if her intercalating degree is a Masters, so Bank of Stubby will be raided.Less so if she lives at home for the year.

Hassle, I think they have it easy, plus they get pretty ladies sending them rude pics...............oh, we get that on here, does that make me an MP??“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

if anyone is interested in getting some of the new less than a bargain mystery wine from Mr T then these are now live
I booked a delivery day for next week and I used the free delivery code that came with the annual free delivery pass and this took £6 off and also I got a mailing with a wine booklet and a letter with a code for £10 wys £100 - an xx code - on the final page you have to tick the box for the code
I don't know if these codes are the same for everyone?
Anyway it worked out at about £3.50 a bottle which is still good plus I went through Topcashback who are giving 4.04% for orders over £100 until tommorow
Mystery Dozen Bargain Whites Case (1x75cl)
My credit card bill is already at a ridiculous amount but at leas this one along with the 20 bags of coal and the over the top garage bill will go onto the December paymentLove your Mum, you'll never get another one when she's gone.0 -
You know what also constitutes welfare? Schools, hospitals. Things you (and many of us) no doubt use quite often
I'm proud I have a heart. Very very proud
When I came to the UK 14+ years ago I was quite astonished at how many things people here get for free.
In South Africa nothing is free and there is no welfare state. You pay for schooling, you buy your own text books, you pay to go to uni and there is no such thing as student loans, you pay for medical care, you pay for dental care, you pay for your own pension, etc. Everything people get free here people in South Africa have to pay for out of their own pockets. It is not paid for throught taxes or national insurance.
Those that don't work have to rely on friends and family to support them until they are once again employed. So people are far less fussy about the type of work that they are prepared to do.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
