I took offence to something very offensive said just before the referendum so I took mysel away for a month to calm down.
Safe to say, I was piddled off big style :-)

its all the perks that makes it ridiculous
maybe they should just pay them £120k or something but gotta pay there own staff and expenses out of that so you could see exactly what they got rather than all the cloaks and daggers
It would cost less in the long run. I used to work with an MP's daughter… she regularly took her friends on all expense paid trips to London. There is justice as her father received a prison sentence for his fraud.100 -

I Googled the vouchers and found that they are probably Healthy start vouchers given to pregnant women and families with kids under 4 who receive Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance or Child Tax Credit.
Is it wrong of me to wonder how someone on benefits with young kids can afford to spend so much cash on one shop including alcohol, energy drinks and even nearly a quid on two posh cat pouches!!
And seriously, £8 on in-wash smelly things to make your clothes smell nice?? You still need to put in detergent and softener in your machine and these are just beads that you chuck in the drum.
After getting this womble I am beginning to think that having a full time job is way overrated!!:rotfl:

In the past, I used to bite when people like Locarr did this and I'd react to it, and believe it or not (especially for the newbies) I was actually barred from mse for several weeks last summer.
So, basically, what I am trying to say is, if a complete numpty posts something controversial on this thread, don't react to it and post something dodgy that might get you in trouble, let the mods do their job and deal with it.
There are a few troublemakers who will always try to upset us and they appear time and time again. Just ignore them, don't rise to the bait and we will still be here this time next year..:D
well done on starting the debate his evening!!;)"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Have people forgotten the MP expenses scandal? Evidently. Don't you all remember they were decorating their second homes with taxpayer money? That actually happened!
It's not the basic wage I disagree with so much, more the fact that they're claiming the public purse can't support an increase in wages for those doing the most vital of jobs. But it can support an increase in their wages and any miscellaneous expenses they might have.
A point well-made SFSBI won't be saying owt to get myself banned.
