If you kick up a fuss they will withdraw this

Sainsburys a few ( 8 ) years ago accepted all coupons regardless against shopping on a one product one voucher arrangement even their own magazine ones & also competitors coupons - after sevreal complaints by JS staff and publicity in the papers the policy was changed back to having to purchase items - I go into tesco now  3/4 times a week - pick the vouchers that do scan plus a couple of high value ones that wont and goto a checkout with a student on it & they go through sweet as can be - only been stopped once in ipswich but I did have lots of coupons that day - they still took them mind free toatser one day - free iorn the next - & enough cans of coke to fill my cupboard.

I used to work for JS ( long time ago ) messgae would be dont rock the boat just enjoy it while it lasts !!!

They did this 10 years ago and they still do it today, so I can't see it being pulled.

As far as I can see it costs them little or nothign anyway. They claim the money back form the manufacturer, so if I hand in a voucher for money off a tin of beans, as long as they have sold a tin of beans that they can claim it back on, you're okay.

We've just kicked up a fuss in our local store and, after 3 clarifications from head office that we're right, HO have now informed the store that it is a Tesco-wide policy, whether they find it believeable or not.

    V smug... ;D

Still using internet vouchers at Tesco Extra, Inverness with no problem whatever.
Assistant last time had not even heard of internet vouchers but didn't quibble. So perhaps she will be a converted Tesco employee!   ;D

I had a terrible time In Inverness tesco months ago, I got an apology and a £10 voucher and a promise that the staff would be told about the vouchers

    looks like it worked

Newbie here, I've been lurking on this site for sometime and I hope to help out. I have the software that enables me to produce barcodes. If I can find out which format the barcodes are, I can help everyone here by replacing all of the blured barcodes with cystal clear ones ontop in the word file.

All I need to do is get the correct format first.

Cheers, keep up the good work

I have tried with the EAN-13 but they don't look the same. I will be interested to see when you crack this one. Someone did this with the £2 Durex voucher but then reduced the image and made it fuzzy again! It would be excellent if you could keep the best resolution. We would all have an easier time at the checkout.
Think of happiness as a kind of mental gardening.

If you zoom in on the durex barcode the white lines are grey and the code is fuzzy. Asking for trouble trying to use that one! Anyone got an original?

Isn't it only Tesco that are obsessed with the barcode? And they won't accept this voucher now anyway.

If you take the voucher to your local chemist, I'm sure you'll get the £2 off the Durex.
  • Reading refused my vouchers today, even though I had bought some Cow and Gate products they wouldn't accept Cow and Gate vouchers (they weren't for the same product, but I thought they would at least accept those ones).

Got a real jobs worth who refused to call the supervisor, they queues were getting longer and I had to get back to feed my baby so couldn't argue it out.

Really frustrating. Will try again midway through the day and get a nice assistant who wants to talk about babies!

I used the vouchers today, the nice lad at the checkout said they could only take 5 non tesco vouchers, I showed him a copy of the e mail from Tesco Customer Services that someboday had posted here & he said "ahh what the hell lets see what'll go through" I ended up with £10 off my shopping. With multi buys etc my shopping bill which should have been £43 ended up costing £29.

    Wooo hooooooo

    Thanks for the vouchers!!

I've printed this new Durex voucher off and will let you know whether it scans today.

NB. I always shop at Asda who so far haven't rejected any coupons either. As long as they stock the item they will take the coupon. :D:D
    Nice to save.
