Oh and regarding your clutch...I had a car ages ago, I was experiencing problems with it so I took it to the garage. They fixed the problem and informed me that my clutch was slipping and I really should look at having it replaced. Being skint-as usual-I decided I would wait until it actually broke. I had the car for a further 18 months and never did need the clutch replacing, it held out fine.
Good plan to put some money aside for it jwil, but I wouldn't rush to have it fixed unless you don't feel it's safe or it starts failing on you.
Thanks tattycath. Our mechanic is really good, and when the pedal box went at the end of last year, he said it usually means the clutch is not far behind. But when we spoke to him last week, he said you'll know it's really going when you start having problems on hills. It's not at that stage yet, so fingers crossed I can get a bit more out of it.
The clutch has been iffy since I got the car and I've had it since 2007 so it's not doing too bad!
I just want to know I've got the money there for when it does get bad."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Elly! Long time no see, how are you doing? Thanks for the good wishes, I hope to get back to the ebaying before long, not doing too well at the moment"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Athough I haven't been doing an awful lot, DH has been busy sorting out things, so I've got a big list of stuff to put on ebay for him.
He's also sold a few things, so will hopefully get those off tomorrow.
I've got tomorrow off as I've got to take little jwil to hospital for an appointment, so hopefully we won't be there too long and I can drop him at nursery and then have the day to myself. I'm hoping then to try and get a couple of bits done as I'll be able to work at my own pace and have a little rest if I need one.
Thankfully it's payday this week! I really need to get back on track and get things listed again.
I hope I can build up a stash of things photo'd and notes made so that I can just pop a few on periodically when I get some energy and no sickness.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Although I've done nothing this month, I have still set myself some targets for next month. I hope that I will be able to do better - many of them are not particularly ambitious so I should hopefully be able to reach a few of them.

Just caught up after a few days away. Congratulations.
I'm more than a little jealous of the baby news (not the sickness part though I'm afraid) very broody at the moment.
