    Hey everyone :)

Sorry I haven't been around, I'm still feeling rubbish. There is an explanation though - I'm expecting another little jwil :D

It's still early days, but all being well by the end of the year we will have an addition to the family.

It's been very hard with the exhaustion, constant sickness and nausea, and so this month I've achieved nothing at all really. I have managed to list a few things, and had some sales, but haven't made any payments at all this month.

So I've been having a really big think about the finances. I'm fed up with all the juggling and struggling, and so I've written to my creditors and asked for payment arrangements with them. One has replied immediately and agreed, I'm still waiting to hear back from the others. Hopefully they will agree. They should do as on paper there isn't enough to pay everything and I sent income and expenditure details. If they don't then I will have to go ahead and start with token payments etc.

My plan now is to carry on with the decluttering and selling (if anything it's even more important now), but rather than using that money to get by each month, I will put it into savings to build up an emergency fund, and also I'd like to manage to have the full year off if I can make it, so I need equivalent of 4 months wages. I'm going to book the full year off, but I can shorten it if I need to as long as I give them 8 weeks notice.

On top of that any extra will go towards the debts.

I need the emergency fund as my clutch is starting to slip so that is going to go soon. Our mechanic reckons it will be £300-£400 all in, so I need to make sure I have that available.

So that's where I am at the moment! Hope everyone is well. I am still reading and lurking but will try and catch up on diaries properly soon x

    That's brilliant news!
I can relate to really bad morning sickness-I really suffered with that with my eldest. (((Hugs)))
I hope your creditors all agree to reduced payments. That said, I have every confidence that you will manage to sell loads of stuff and make serious inroads with your savings.

Oh and regarding your clutch...I had a car ages ago, I was experiencing problems with it so I took it to the garage. They fixed the problem and informed me that my clutch was slipping and I really should look at having it replaced. Being skint-as usual-I decided I would wait until it actually broke. I had the car for a further 18 months and never did need the clutch replacing, it held out fine.
Good plan to put some money aside for it jwil, but I wouldn't rush to have it fixed unless you don't feel it's safe or it starts failing on you.

Great news Jwil. Not such a waste of time after all! Sounds like a good plan to build up an emergency fund. I hope your creditors agree the payment arrangements.

    Best wishes
