Hope everyone's having a good weekend.
I've been listing stuff for DH mainly and sorting some books out.
Doing some more listing at the moment. The buyer from the USA has not yet paid for their items, I'll be very annoyed if they don't.
I've sold a couple of small bits this weekend, so hopefully will be able to make a small payment tomorrow. I've got some stuff going out tomorrow which is doing ok at the moment, but I'm hoping it goes for more.
I've finished two books from the challenge above so will update that soon."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I never do. Ebay send them enough reminders to pay. I'll send a reminder invoice on day 3 and then open a case on 4 or 5. I'm hoping she'll pay later today and it's just because it's the weekend there's a delay."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Still no payment from the USA, so I did decide to do as Abba suggests and send a reminder that I'd done the combined postage as requested. Fingers crossed that encourages them to pay!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I do hope they pay up, Jwil - as they've bid on a lot of stuff, I presume they are serious about it and have just done something else over the weekend.
I like your book list and I strongly approve of your choices so far.
I have a list of '1001 books to read before your die' - my list is from about 2006 I think, so will miss out any newer ones, but the vast majority were written in the 1800/1900s anyway. I have so far read 122 of the list but I'm not deliberately trying to work my way through the list. 1001 is a very small number when you consider all the books that have been written over the centuries. But it's fun to pick one of them to read every now and again - a lot of them are free on Kindle.
I am tempted to do the one you're doing but really, I have such a backlog of books already.0 -

Thanks P&F
I've pretty much done the 1001 books listI've been doing it for the last 6 or 7 years I think. I'll have to look back, I posted it on one of my earlier diaries I think. I'm well into the 900s now. Some of the ones I'm putting on this list are some I have left from the 1001 books list and I'm deliberately picking books I have at home so I have to read and declutter them.
That 1001 books list is one big contributor to the thousands of books I have around the house! I used to carry the list with me so I could pick them up at car boot sales. I did use Project Gutenberg to get a lot of the early ones in the pre-Kindle days.
I am not allowed* to buy books at car boot sales any more until the books at home are at a more manageable level.
*my own restriction, DH wouldn't dare stop me!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
