I hope that's not the only approach. They could tick all the bad threads in a board, then remove all those at once, but I hope they'd then also work per username, as I mentioned above.

Working in 2 or 3 browser tabs per name then closing them, it should be possible to ban 2 to 4 usernames a minute, remove all their posts in a few seconds per name, so get a pretty big dent in it in about half an hour, then just gradually check boards as a tidy up, as well as monitoring new user sign-ups for features related to this.

Edit: however it looks like you're right, they seem to be doing it per board

The funny thing is, I hadn't read the offending thread until the spam started.
Now I have, they've not done themselves any favours by bringing it to my attention :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This argument about the kitchens has been going on for a couple of years so it would not surprise me if they already had some AE's on the membership list so that they could support each other.

I think at one point they tried to mass report a regular user that had crossed them in the hope of getting them banned.

For the boards with no spam button, you need to hit the report button instaed and this sends it to the abuse team.

I think the spammer is taking a break and regrouping his troops.

Expect a second onslaught soon, probably in the early hours again.

I see new user accounts are still being created, by the minute, but not being used to post ... for now.
