Perhaps it's time to let some of the Board Guides have authority to delete postings and / or PPR. These can then later be reviewed by the Moderators, to confirm an appropriate action has been taken.

Board guides can delete spam on our boards and report to the forum team. It is already part of our remit.

Does not really help with this spam attack as it's new user signups as fast as you can zap them.

BGs or admin struggle to keep up with that.

Irrespective of what you think of browntoa's thread, I really hope the team don't have to cave to these bullies and delete it (which seems to be what they want). If the company is unhappy with something said about them on this site, there are channels for them to complain through. Their tactics today are outrageous.

I can still see it...

It could be edited to remove the more emotive bits about winding them up and simply state the facts. But again, in response to a proper complaint, not these disgusting tactics.

Is it illegal to organise a sustained attack on a website? If so, I hope the team have kept records of what's happened and will be reporting it to the relevant branch of the police.

Suspension has got to be the way to go. The forum team won't be here all night and I can just picture the state of the forum by morning.

I've given myself a headache with all this scanning the forum and reporting.

Just how many accounts are there?
It must have taken time to set them all up.
A very slick but very annoying operation.

1. take the site down for a couple of hours.
2. Suspend all registartations for 24 hours
3. ban the accoutns of these people.

Oh and is there a prize for the most clicks on the spam button today?

Very odd? The thread was taken down and now is back up.I can't see any amendments to it.
