We came home yesterday, got back late and missed the leaders debate. :)

So back to more boring views.

Has there ever been a boring view from your window?

So, bottle of wine open, 2 weeks' holiday, no study to be done, and a Eurovision fest on the telly. What's not to like (apart from Graham Norton's unexpected beard?!)

Edit: No way can it be 17 years since Dana International won?1998??? Where did the years go

Bedding type stuff is almost certainly cheaper on line I would have thought?

Sowing seeds is even cheaper, though takes a bit longer to show results. Lidl and Aldi both have decent small plants if you catch them at the right time.

Thanks, however as I owe in the 5 figures any fine would probably be a bit expensive...

LOL I haven't paid any income tax for the last 4/5 years, and even if they start to tax disability benefits as they threaten to do I doubt I'll be paying much, if anything. But if sale goes through on old home we'll have to pay a rake of Capital Gains Tax. :(

LOL! Thanks! :) We certainly had some boring views the last few days at the caravan - just pouring rain, and some of the time we couldn't even see the end of the field! Just don't take photos then. Wish I'd got some of the goldfinches at the caravan though, we were getting about 7 all coming down to feed together. Very argumentative birds, just like the green finches. It's Fight Fight Fight a lot of the time. It's when they do that and get distracted that the sparrowhawk comes down and takes one. Last autumn we saw one taken, the hawk stood on it on the patio and ate it there and then!

Mine is CGT too. If you lived in the old house you should get a fair bit of PPR relief, aren't you still able to add on 3 years after the date you moved out?

Yes, and IMO, seeds give wider option for prettier garden ( and self seeding opportunity) ..........but many prefer little plants.

Dogs are just out widdly weeing, then we are making traditional bank holiday out of hours medical trip. This time not for me ( hurrah). They are expecting us. Fir has either a heart problem, or more likely indigestion.

Right, letting dogs in now...see y'all later.

Kryten, though I may be aged I'm not quite that aged (yet ;) )! :rotfl: Though I feel that aged today after packing up, doing a bit of gardening in pots on the deck and then the drive home. Good thing I didn't have to drive. :j

What a fun concert! Thought I'd seen everything... then Lordi sang along to Waterloo.

Did our Graham look about 20 years older with the beard or is it just me?
