Viva, forgot to mention it before. More gossip is here on Eurovision; not an admin, but you're welcome to join us.

OH has just gone in the boot of her car to find a rabbit hutch, 3 bags of straw and some sawdust :o

In other news, spending most of today for mother, plus sorting another few bits from the house. She's officially got a moving date now. Wondering whether to get DDs up to take with me or not, as it's either that or into work with OH.

What are the NP doing this weekend?

I've been scouring the local papers for garden centre offers and shops looking for cheap plants. Haven't bought anything yet, but I'm doing my research first. We have so many shops selling plants, it may take some time today! I do have some things highlighted already from my work yesterday.

I don't want to move and I think we will have this summer here, at least.

I think I can get exactly what I want for not very much at all if I do a michaels style shop and buy it all from different places. I may post my triumphs if I have some. :)

I was in Scotsdales (Cambridge) yesterday and found some good offers. Will probably be popping in/out over the next few weeks getting bits and pieces if you fancy a coffee up there :)

Cambridge is two hours away, it might eat into the budget a bit, but thanks! :)

Please do paste what you find. We need 'bedding plants' of some description for the border, tubs and hanging basket in the front to try and make it look a bit less like social rental....
    I think....

Still nearly 50 minutes from here, I just don't like venturing into the place beginning with 'H', and Coopers doesn't sell anything particularly appropriate for gardening.

My favourite garden centre is Van Hage, near Ware. It even has a petting zoo and train. Food is good too. Mostly buy their sale stuff mind as you could spend an absolute fortune there...

There's one near us that is huge, vast. They ship pensioners in on coaches for day trips.

It has nice things to look at, and a garden walk, so it is a half decent way to kill time but I won't buy anything there that costs more than pocket money as all of it is an absolute rip off and costs waaaay more than it should in any other shop, even when not bargain hunting. I cringe at the two people I know that shop there.

Good luck to them, though. It's a family business, they're clearly successful and they really know how take advantage of the silver pound.

Yes, Van Hage has 1000 parking spaces... at a garden centre... I like to wander around and get ideas, so I can then buy elsewhere. It will be mobbed this weekend though. They also take coach parties.
