I *stupidly* ordered a trial of Ketone Slim XT - it was late at night, and I saw some 'reviews' (which on further research appear to be paid advertisement articles) and thought - yeah ok for the sake of £4.95 I'll give it a go. I immediately realised how stupid I was when the terms and conditions popped up after submitting card details and saw that they will charge £90 after the 14 day free trial. (and also that if these really worked they wouldn't need to use these forms of advertising/ I would know about it etc etc)

Once I had realised this I emailed them straight away and said I had changed my mind and no longer want to continue with the trial. I actually sent two emails and didn't receive a response to either. I wish I had followed up and made sure this had been actioned now!

I saw a pending 'card not present' transaction on my bank account today of £90 from Ketone and called them straight away - they said my trial had not been cancelled and as the 14 days expired yesterday that there was nothing they could do, however no more money will be charged to my account.

I called my bank (Lloyds), who were extremely helpful and will be refunding the £90 (as I have written to Ketone and cancelled within the 14 days) and they will now monitor my account for any further transactions from Ketone.

I read through the t&cs today in regards to cancellation and found some conflicting info. One part says you must 'contact' their customer support, the next section says you must 'call'.

I should add that I haven't even opened the bottle, as I imagined that I may need to return etc. It looks like I will need to return from the t&cs.

My questions are - if the t&cs are conflicting, will I be ok with having emailed them? and question 2 - As the bank have now cancelled the transaction how likely are ketone to come after me for £90 anyway, especially if I return a full, unopened bottle of the tablets.

*lesson learnt*

Thanks in advance for responses :)
I have just received my free trail today and would like to open and try them but I was just wondering whether you were made to send these back unopened? Or did they send you additional ones the following month and these were the ones you were required to return?

There is no need to open them. The stuff doesn't work.

Thank you for your advice! Had different problem but canceling the card was a great idea! TThanks to all you guys I have avoided making a huge mistake that I would have regretted. It is so easy to fall for dirty little scams like this.
• Ok 2 weeks into trying to get money back now.

I sent products back recorded post as directed with offer of full refund.

Needless to say non was forthcoming as when I called customer support to check on update I was informed hat because I had stopped any further payments coming out of my bank account it was in dispute with their legal department and they could not refund or carry out any further action.

The bank advised me it was my job to take up any action and as I surely will not be communicating with anyone in Florida ( where their legal base is) due to cost of calls and further smoke and mirrors so it seems I will have to take the hit.

Good luck to everyone else.

Always think to yourself is it too good to be true ?
• Omg I`ve just fell victim too, I stupidly never read through all t&c and not once did I see anything about a subscription? I`ve emailed to cancel order and any subscription but if they do no reply how am I supposed to know if they have? The links to any correspondence they have though the order confirmation do NOT work. I can`t believe these are allowed as it is so misleading and so unclear. Any suggestions as to what I should do next?

I also was stupid and signed up for the free Ketone slim XT trial, paying the p&p price of £3.95. I don't normally do stuff like this but I'm desperate to fit into my summer clothes! It's not worth the price of being conned! They scam people out of money! I saw your post and immediately phoned my bank to put a stop to this scamming company taking anymore money. I see from other posts it's £90! I also emailed and called the company threatening them with Money Saving Expert and BBC's Watchdog! I got very angry with them & called them a scam company. They agreed to cancel my trial and I didn't have to send the product back! lesson learnt! Back to the gym for me and i'll never sign up for another product like this again! Please keep spreading the word on this company as it helps others keep their hard earned cash. DONT BUY KETONE SLIM XT, or PRIMA CLEANSE & DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM HEALTHY NUTRITION LTD EVER!!!

Call your bank and get them to cancel any further payments from this company!
Call the company and tell them you don't want the product & cancel the trial. (note the call centre was in Florida...another way to make money)
Email the customer service team - quote your order number/Date of order and cancel the trial & tell them you've reported them to Citizens Advice & Money Saving Expert etc
Good luck
• Unfortunately, I made the mistake and ordered the free trial of Ketone SlimXT and Plima Cleanse Plus this morning (1st June).
As I didn’t remember seeing and terms & conditions, I looked for the link and with terror I found out that after the ‘free’ trial I am automatically enrolled into a 12-month membership, with approximately £200 taken from my account every month.
I read, and re-read the terms & conditions, and after a few minutes I emailed the customer services addresses – customerservice@ketoneslimxt.com & customerservice@primacleanse.com.
I was sceptical about sending the email, as I was sure they wouldn’t respond.
I waited for a few minutes, and then I called them on 020 3!695 3806 (Ketone) and 029 2!168 0129 (Prima Plus).

The Ketone customer services representative noted that I requested my order to be cancelled. He also told me to return the pills once I received them to Ketone return address. He gave me an RMA number to write on the top of the envelope, so the return can be processed.
The Ketone SlimXT return address is:
Ketoneslim XT
PO Box 7574
Milton Keynes
MK11 9GQ
United Kingdom
Corporate Address

Afterwards I called Prima Cleanse Plus and I spoke to their customer services department. I assume it’s the same company… She told me that she cancelled my order. Only when I challenged her about returning the product, did she tell me I would have to call back to receive an RMA number and the return address. If I hadn’t mentioned it, she wouldn’t have told me I need to return the product to stop recurring payments.
The Prima Cleanse Plus return address is:
Prima Cleanse Plus
PO Box 7574
Milton Keynes
MK11 9GQ
United Kingdom
Corporate Address

After my two calls, I received the cancellation emails. After carefully reading them, I noticed that they are very carefully written in favour of the company.
The Ketone SlimTX email wrote:
“Dear ‘my full name’
This email is being sent to confirm that your account with Ketone Slim XT has been cancelled as of today. You will not receive any other shipments or charges. We are sorry to see you go.
If you change your mind and want to begin receiving this product again in the future, or if you need further assistance, please contact our Customer Service Team. We'll be happy to assist you in any way we can. Our customer service team is available 24/7 for your convenience. Our team can be reached directly by calling 020 3!695 3806 (UK) or +353 1800 817 241 (Ireland), or by replying directly to this email.
Thanks again, for your order. We appreciate your business!
Sincerely,”

In the afternoon I went to my bank – Barclays – and explained them the situation. Unfortunately, they told me that cancelling my debit card is not going to solve the problem, as their terms & conditions clearly state they will be recurring charges, and the company can force payments to be taken from my account, even after cancelling the debit card I had used. The employee put me through their fraud department to whom I explained the situation. Since the postage payment hadn’t been taken yet, they asked me to check my account. Once the company name appears in my statement, I need to call the fraud department so they cancel any future payment the company tries to take from me.
According to my bank, I am covered, especially after having a record of the order, my cancellation request and also the cancellation confirmation from the company.

So, my advice is:
1. Call the company to cancel the order ASAP.
2. Write to the company to cancel the order.
3. Pester them to receive a cancellation email.
4. If you have the product, send it back to the return address with a recorded delivery. So you have evidence you sent it back. Do NOT refuse the order! Receive it and send it back with recoded post. If you refuse it, you will not be able to either get your money back or track the return. I was advised to refuse it, but the t&cs state otherwise.
5. Call your bank ASAP to stop the company taking any more payments from your account.
6. Keep evidence of all your actions.
7. Cancel your debit/credit card if you need to. My bank told me I didn’t have to cancel my debit card.

Even if you have signed up for the trial, you still need to return the product, as, I have a feeling, they will charge for the full amount of the product, despite having cancelled the order. As you will see in the email I received it states that I will not ‘receive any other shipments or charges’ (future charges), which means they can argue against the 1st order/charge.

You ONLY have 14 DAYS to CANCEL the order from the DAY you ORDER.

I hope the above helps.

I am nervous about receiving the products and sending them back. It’s a lot of money for a product that does nothing. The articles online are fake and the FB positive comments under them are fake too
