Today I am focussing on clearing out the drawers in our bedroom and the clothes in my side of the wardrobe, that is where the majority of clutter in this house is stored. I am going to be pretty ruthless and throw out anything that is not needed or really wanted.

Hi Sassy,

That made me laugh. This is like a pauper, layman's version of "I am a celebrity get me out of here."

It is amazing how they have often led such glamorous lifestyles, but declare their time in the bug ridden jungle, with strangers and no food, to be the best time of their lives, because it challenged their perceptions and they faced up to their fears.

I am going to reward myself for completing my 108 days with a trip to the local insect farm. I went a couple of years ago with dear aunt and four children and they all happily handled all the snakes, cockroaches and an enormous tarantula, while I cowered in the corner in a cold sweat. This time I will be Spiderwoman though and nothing will phase me ........... xx.

I firmly believe they have been prepped beforehand to say those things. It's a load of tosh! Although I suppose sitting around doing nowt when you have a hectic lifestyle is probably lovely. I loved it when Michael Buerke came out this year and said it had been hell!

The insect farm sounds a treat but rather you than me! I don't mind them but wouldn't want to go on a day out with them lol

I am beginning to flag, and my eyes are firmly set on the 21st and a two week holiday!!!

I have been busy playing around with figures this morning, shaving money off the holiday budget to ensure that some inroads are made into the debts this month.

There have been a lot of unexpected, little expenses, that I hadn't foreseen, which have added up. If I only spend £15.00 more on shopping before the weekend and then we stick to the new holiday budget, both of which are doable, then we will have paid off another £150.00 off the Halifax and £50.00 off the training loan and not incurred any additional debt.

That is less than what I originally hoped for, and although I have been very careful with money this month and earned a lot more income than planned, December is such an expensive month that it really deserves its own savings plan. Oh with the benefit of hindsight .................

Today I am finishing tidying the house and packing. My plans for the rest of the year are to stay in budget, not put on any weight and have a happy, relaxing time with family and friends over the next couple of weeks, and as much me time as I can get too.

I will appear again in the new year. In the meantime to all DFW's have a wonderful holiday period.
