If someone is acting so badly, I agree the chances of them becoming physical are quite high, if that is due to them being mentally unbalanced then so be itBlackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Violence is far more often caused by alcohol then mental health issues.0 -

I agree, but I still think the O.P. was right to think it possible the disruptive passnger could have been mentally disturbed as well as drunk. I think they were right to consider it a possibility.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0 -
I would have expected and been happy if they had moved her.
But did you specifically raise your concerns to the cabin crew? And ask to move, or have the other party moved?
Again, it can be difficult if the flight is full etc, but unless you specifically raise the issues with the cabin crew then how are they to know what your expectations are?0 -

Hi bagand96
I did not want to be the one to be moved and I did not ask the crew mainly because she would know it was me and I wasn`t to know if there were any spare seats, then it really could have been more awkward if there weren`t, this was a new situation for me, because I also thought she was on the crews radar they may intervene, my fellow passengers asked me to swap seats and I eventually did.
I was only asking for advice on here, I am not complaining about it as such. Thanks anyway0 -

Again, I appreciate it is a very awkward situation. You don't want to cause a scene, for fear that it may well make the situation worse. But at the same time, cabin crew aren't telepathic, the passenger may well have been on their radar but they probably didn't realise how uncomfortable the situation was making you.
You could have got up to use the toilet, then after had a quick chat with one of the crew (at the back of the aircraft so there's less chance the problem passenger would see you). I know its very easy to think of all this in hindsight though.
Again crew have very limited options anyway in a small aircraft, other than moving people (if there is spare seats). If indeed the passenger had become violent then there would have been a very different response I am sure.
Back to the practicalities of your situation. If you'd asked for crew assistance and the crew had shrugged it off and ignored you then I think you'd have more of a case with the airline. As it is (and notwithstanding what we've just discussed) you didn't and therefore I'm not sure there's anywhere to go other than accept their goodwill gesture (which personally I don't think is bad).0 -

Or just get a knee defender.0 -
The OP clearly just wants more "compo", what the cabin crew did at the time is incidental.haras_nosirrah wrote: »What did you expect cabin crew to do to stop her being annoying?they intially only offered me £50 compensation which is a joke, I have asked for a refund or free flight.0
