It's worth mentioning that you should leave Gazpablo's advice until after you have moved the data over to the D: drive.
  • You can create a folder on the D: drive for the video files.
Then you can go to the folder on the C: drive where the files are and then cut and paste them to the newly created folder.
Clicking on the Quick Time Movie option shown on your screenshot, will indicate to you where you have stored that 59.5GB of .mov video files.
Ok will create a folder in D drive. When I click on quick time movie in WinDirStat it doesn't do/show anything

I would definitely use ccleaner, and regularly use it each day just before you close down. To get startup services and programs - search for msconfig.exe by clicking the Windows start button in the bottom left hand corner then type "msconfig.exe" in the search panel at the bottom where it says "search programs and files", double click msconfig.exe and start it up, then click "open task manager". When task manager opens up click the "start-up" tab along the top - this gives you then a list of programs and services running - anything you want to disable just right click the enabled item in the status column.

An alternative is to install ccleaner then click "tools" in the left hand panel, then "startup" which gives you details of running programs and services - then right click any unwanted services in the enabled column.

Finally, looking at your screen shot - I'm using Windows 8.1 but click services and processes and right click any program/service you don't want running but be careful not to disabled a vital Windows function.
So can I use Ccleaner along with Malwarebtyes? Have Avast as well but haven't used it in a while :o

Here's what running at start up, just unsure what to disable?

93 processes is way too many, use CCleaner's Tools > Startup and disable everything except antivirus, then reboot and check task manager again...but do this after moving video/photo files to d drive as per Nifty's advice

edit - until you move the stuff to the d drive, your pagefile won't work properly either ;)
    ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D

Ok will move the stuff now so it's only video/photo files I move? I don't move 'Program Files' or any other files like that to d drive?

Yeah 93 seems alot, will do Ccleaner after.

It will highlight all of those particular colour files in the graphic. Hopefuly they are in one big bundle. If you click on that blue bundle, it should show you where that bundle is stored on your laptop.

Then you can go to that location on the laptop and cut and paste those files to the new folder on the D: drive.

  • Well that took a while to copy thousands of photo's to d drive lol looking abit better, what you think below? Just thinking I'd need to backup these from d drive, not sure what would hold that amount of photos?

So its Ccleaner now and think someone said to disable nearly everything only antivirus so all those toshiba and intel things that are running at start up I'll disable those as well?

Sleep time now I think :p
