Having a Nightmare with Vodafone trying to get NHS discount

Hi
Just wondered if anyone has any idea how Vodafone work for getting the 20% discount for NHS workers.
Basically upgraded online on the 25/9, was told i needed to take work i.d. or wage slip instore to get discount applied
On 26/9 I went instore with discount and they said they added the details to the account so it could be applied. Said it would take a couple of days
On the 29/9 I went online and spoke with vodafone's customer services chat. I was told by a Paul it had been processed and would be added to my account in 3-4 days.
Today I have just got off chat again and have now been told that the discount is not yet on my account and it is being processed (totally the oppositte of what was said above) and it will now take 10-14 days to show on my account.
So I have now been told 3 different things by 3 members of Vodafone staff, Im getting worried as obviously my 30 days are running down. The shop point blank refuse to have anything to do with customer service and are only interested in selling.
Anyone have any ideas how i can get this sorted?
Thanks

Different places have ways of validating you are an employee in different companies. Ours has to be done by going through web pages on our HR intranet to be activated. Even if its direct to Vodafone your HR should be able to help.
Are you sure your NHS trust qualifies, as not all do, but Vodafones form is here

Hi
Yes mine does qualify and I have read the form and actually taken my ID in to the Vodafone shop the day after my phone arrived as I was requested to do.
First i was told in the shop it would be done within 3 days, I then went online 3 days later to ask if it had been done and was told it would be another 3-4 days. Went online yesterday to confirm it had been done and was told it would take 10-14 days.
All the advisors have told me not to worry as even if they take the full amount on the first month it will get credited back but if im having this much hassle to sort it now how much hassle would i have trying to get money back.
I just dont see why it is that difficult for them and why their staff cannot come up with the same answers to the same question. 3 different staff and 3 different answers.0 -
A bit different but I was given a credit for Vf wrongly applying excess data. Long story short, they'd already processed my current bill and the following month was active so got the credit the further following month. It might take a couple of days to process but a couple of billing dates to have it show. At least I hope you do get it, lol :cool:0

Thank you for your call today.
I have checked and I do not have a work email address.
On the 26/9 I went in to my local Vodafone store and showed them my work badge and my payslip, they said they put it on the system and it woud be actioned. All the people I have spoke to online and Ive kept the logs of the conversations where they all say it is being dealt with now today you have told me you do not have the details you require.
Im not being funny with you but why am i being lied to?
You said you will phone back on Saturday but things will be no different then I do not have a work email address, I cannot make this any clearer. I went in store as it says to do in your instructions, what more can I do?
The phone arrived on Friday 30th of September am i within my rights to cancel this contract? I am really happy with my new phone but the only reason I took it out was because I am supposed to get 20% off. Your online staff have lied to me on a constant basis.
I cannot tell you how frustrated I am becoming with the whole thing
Can I not email you a scan of my wageslip which has my NHS staff number on it?
EDIT
Lee I have scanned my wage slip and replied to your email you sent me with the scans of both sides of the wage slip attached. Im hoping common sense comes in to play and my discount can now be added.0 -
Many thanks to Lee this has been sorted. Have now had an email from employee advantage scheme team saying discount will be applied.
I just can't understand why when I took the paperwork in to the store and they put it on the computer it has not been actioned. Then why 2 members of the online team told me it was being dealt with when it wasen't and lastly if i just emailed a scan of my wage slip would that not be an easier option for Vodafone and the customer alike.
Thanks again Lee0 -
You're more than welcome freejack2k.
Thanks for updating the thread to confirm that this has been resolved for you.

I have contacted your customer service department on numerous occasions (7months) to correct my monthly bill. I should have NHS discount applied, however, each month since December 2014 I have had to call customer services to re credit my account because the discount has not been applied. Each time someone reassures me that the discount will be applied for the next bill, but this never happens.
I am getting incredibly frustrated with this process, every month I spend numerous days trying to sort this out, I have also spent a lot of money on parking to go into store to talk to someone, only for them to have to ring customer services themselves.
This is an on going incompetence from Vodafone which I am starting to find extremely irritating.
I changed from O2 to Vodafone due to your fantastic deals, but now I wish I had stayed with O2 as I never had any problems with them.0
