i got a fine through from Hungary off EPC but i could not figure out what it was for so i enquired as to why it took them a while to reply and when they did they informed me i had not purchased a vignette.
i told them i had and they then informed me after waiting a while again that I need to send in a photo copy of my receipt and vignette i waited again for a reply and then received an email stating that i had not paid the correct fee for the vignette on my van (ford transit 260) i had paid for a car, i purchased this at a garage where they could not speak english and i could not speak Hungarian.
this email reply was sent to me on the 30th December i paid the fine today and then received a letter dated the 30th December stating that my fine was now £149 pound. i have tried ringing them but got no answer after being on the phone for 40 mins anyone any suggestions as what to do next
OMG you PAID?!
Then you tried PHONING?
Why did you not Google it and read if it was even enforceable first? Loads of results about these online, best advice has always been to ignore.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

1. Hungarian law is applicable.
2. A European Enforcement Order (EEO) could be used.

3. Gettting this enforced in the UK once the defendant had lost his Hungarian court case was relatively straight forward.
And that because of this, it was probably better to pay it....Always get a Qualified opinion - My qualifications are that I am OLD and GRUMPY:p:p0 -

2 of the 6 folders I have of them...
I have tried to work with them, spoken to people in Hungary, Ireland, Norway, even spoken to the people at Shepperton, but top and bottom is that payment is optional.
It's a numbers game - they buy the data cheap from the relevant issuing authority, then bombard with letters. The authority has no interest in foreign enforcement, EPC are simply a way for them to tick a legislative compliance box, and EPC get enough people paying up to make their stationery and postage bill viable.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I thought that my hungary vignette for not paying the correct road toll was sorted out as i stated before i paid the fine but they increased it so I ignored the letter. because i had already paid i have now received a letter from Rossendale (Professional ) debt collection agency stating that i owe £184 plus their costs, which is not the right amount. anyone any idea as to what i should do now.0

Rossendales and the word 'professional' in the same sentence must be a first for this forum!

Rossendales are allegedly pretty unprofessionalMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0
