HB dusting mitts sound like something that might work for me... did you make them yourself?

Yes. I drew round my hand, added on a hefty allowance for the fact that hands are three D, not just outline shape, added a hefty seam allowance and then measured how wide the wristy bit needed to be to get the hand in, but not too wide that it slipped off. Then I sewed around that shape on the sewing machine, two dusters together, tried it on, cut the excess duster fabric off and made a second one exactly the same. I didn't bother to turn them inside out to make them neat - the floaty bulky seam allowance picks up extra dust anyway.

I can't understand why duster manufacturers don't make them. A lot less fabric, and a lot more dusting done really quickly.

I'm going to knock out a few more duster mitts because I now wash all my dusters and microfiber cloths after one use - may just as well, they don't take much handwashing or drying, and it means I've always got piles of clean ones whenever I need them. (Swap hands to use the clean sides.)

To be honest, Lamewolf, a pair of cheapo woollen gloves I found in a charity shop last year gave me the idea. They looked a bit grubby after I dusted the whole house with them, but I handwashed them, dried them and still use them for dogwalking in the dark so the grubbiness doesn't bother the dog, me or anyone else.
    Better is good enough.

Ooh dusting mitts what a good idea. Or you could use the family pet, is that how you chose your username, dustykitten lol ;) poor cat - just don't sew two of them together, that would be cruel...

All I've done is make dinner and clean kitchen after. DS swept the LR rug after they eaten cookies ;) and I've put the green bin out. Glad I looked, as bliddy H3rmes left a parcel in it! It's getting emptied tomorrow. They did leave a card but never ticked which box or wrote where it was, so I assumed they would come back tomorrow, not that it would be in my bin!!!

Oh and I've made DD packup and got DS pe kit ready.

Been up since 5.30 so will have a warm bath I think then into bed for a spot of reading.

HI Mrs Moneypenny- the cheese I use is VBite (Redwoods) I think it says melting on the package- I used some that was left over - I had taken it out of the wrapper and wrapped it in a food bag-are you vegan?

    God im annoyed.

A month ago someone scraped my car and a good samaritan left details of the pranger who drove off. I callex insurance for advice who told me what excesses would be should I follow it up. Which were stupid and it would also send my premium up. I phoned them back n told them to forget it.

Well just doing my renewal and it flagged up and sent the quote up by 100 odd quid. Really annoyed.

Maybe contact the police and report the driver for failing to stop?

I once saw someone make a right mess of someone else's car, left my details and had to go to make a statement. It never got to court.
