Just having a cuppa whilst the floor dries. Washed up whilst the kettle was boiling. Emailed DS3 his homework (he is getting too forgetful).
Just got the toilets and sinks left to do then I'll have my shower and plan my trip to town, bitty one needing to drop stuff at CS, go to bank and library and look for 2 birthday presents and cards plus get some food shopping. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
BusyGranny gently does it for you.
It is pouring here so postponing town until it eases and may just nip out for food for pack ups later. I shall get back to the flying instead - need to hoover on top and inside of my wardrobe in prepartion for present stashing. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi all; Saturday saw the start of me working from my new-style personal Flying lists - it's looking hopeful that it'll work for me; fingers crossed!:o
All the tasks I need Mr LW to assist with got done - that's why the Saturday start, as opposed to Monday, so that we can get those out of the way over the weekend if possible.;)Had a fall out with my dad yesterday. Anyone else removed a toxic parent from their lives?
Mrs MP Please don't apologise for posting about the stuff that's been happening with you; it's never come across to me as grouchy at all, just a friend in need of some support. I'm probably a lot worse, fretting about Mr LW, and all the ongoing carp with my own health.:o I'm just glad you have some news to make you happy this time - congratulations!:T
Jessie's gone home now, so I've Dys0ned up all the black dog hairs. Next visitor arrives on Wednesday - Jack, a JRT. I gather he's elderly and on medication, so it'll be interesting to meet him.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Congratulations Mr and Mrs MP ...
Noel MAY have a liver tumour so is having that checked on Thursday.. I'm determined to be a cat down it would appearHe is not responding to the thyroid meds but that may be because he is spitting them out all over the house willy-nilly!!
Sorted paperwork for re-registering @ PDSA.. why do they make you feel so bad for not being able to give them as much in payment as you would like to??
Girlies fed.. Dot stayed over with DD1 while we went to vet and they had a fabulous time but she objected to DD1's lack of juice and demanded I bring her home about 2 minutes after I got there to pick her up.. she put on her coat, opened the door and trotted into the front garden.. thankfully she couldn't do the gate.
I have a few ebeast things to package up and will get those sent once I've collected girls from school.
I'm starved.. OH did food for himself and the girls and not me.. see why I am huffed off with them all and their selfishness?! If I cook food for the girls I usually sling him a pizza or some sausage rolls or something in.. I didn't even get asked if I wanted anything.. and come to think of it he was trying to give himself food poisoning half warming rice so I did his!!

Mrsmp I agree with everyone else. Although I flit in and out, I've always found the fly ladies incredibly good and supportive friends - and meeting a few in real life only confirmed that!
Jazeewe had a brilliant time at Cake and Bake, thank you! There were a lot of TV bakers there, including several on GBBO. Daughter and friend have pics with Ian, Chetna and Kate. Bought a few bakery bits, and quite a bit of food, some lovely goodie bags, and also saw Joanna Wheatley and other GBBO winners do a biscuit bake.
I have done the kitchen this morning, and am currently hibernating on the sofa, cold, windy and rainy here. If I have a sudden energy surge, I'll tackle the bathroom too, although in all fairness, I think it's unlikely. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
thank you all, it is lovely news so i keep spontaneously grinning and have already gone through my pattern stash to look for things to knit.
going to get the sewing machine out at 3 and do a HHC (or 2) making the new cushion covers. its decluttering and flying in one as old covers are really ratty now so can go in the rag bag and it will really smarten the settees up ready for winter.
so HHC@3 anyone want to join in.SPC~12 ot 124

Afternoon all on this grey, rainy and blustery day
LW - my father is nowhere near as bad as your excuse for one. But he does hurt me and either doesn't realise or doesn't understand why. He said to me once that when my mum left him, that he considered that me and my brother left him too (we were 6 & 4 at the time!). I love him and I know he loves me, but I'm not sure whether that it is enough.
LW & Jazee - thank you both for sharing your experiences x
Mrs MP - congratulations on the impending grandparenthood, never worry about offloading, I've been overwhelmed with the support I've received on flylady so it's nice for me to return the favour.
SC is on
Cat litter tray cleaned
October Challenge: To finish my pure wool jumper by the end of the month. I'm off to see the northern lights in November so it needs to be finished by the end of the month.
Will update after the paid stuff, I'm so pleased it's bathrooms today.
To do:
Soak bed sheets in Napisen
Hetty hallway & LR
Wash winter coat
Line bedroom curtains (no, I've still not done it :0 )
Ring decorator and tell him the wallpapering he did in the kitchen is not acceptable and ask him to re-do. Unfortunately I've already paid him.
Speak Later

Ditto what everyone says Mrs MP. It helps to know whats going on in each others lives so we can support each other and know we are not on our own with our troubles.
Work done for the day (hopefully). Chilli has been in SC since about 7am so going to do some jacket spuds to go with it and do a bit of baking. The washing on the airer is dry so that needs to go away. I did swish and swipe the bathroom this morning but the floor could do with a proper wash.0
