Morning all. Decided to have a lie in as raining so no time needed for early dog walk.
Thanks for the list Dusty and Natty for last week. I'm kind of in but working in big bad London for part of this week.
Deco - I removed my toxic mother from my life, meaning that I also lost contact with father, sister, brother and their families but my life has been so much more straightforward for the last few years.
Right, I'm going to make a start on the LR before the paid stuff starts in 30 mins.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Morning all
Welcome Banwa
Deco, thanks Woody is fine, getting the ABs in him was well worth it I think. Hugs re your Dad, I've always had a tough relationship with my mother, it is better atm so there is hope.
DS2 away to his first lecturers, aching from football and with a sore throat but seems happier.
In bird news my nuthatch has become a regular visitor.
DW emptied, time for a HH tidy round and some stretches to start my day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Hi All

Morning!
Not the best start to the day here. Kiddies were angels getting ready for an early start at breakfast club, so we set off in wind and rain, nice and early to find there was still nowhere to park. So we ended up on the main road. Managed to usher both plus 4 bags through driving rain into club, and returned to find the traffic was now queueing up past school!
Ugh. I followed it to the first roundabout. A mile took nearly 20min, and they were queueing back up to the motorway. I'm usually more than half way to work by this time
So I made an executive decision to come home.Bossymoo

Mrs MoneyPenny, Huge Congratulations on your wonderful news and how lovely to have that to look forward to. I don't know about anyone else, but I've never for a moment found your updates on your current circumstances 'offloading.' I've been inspired by your willingness to help your mother-in-law and your sheer tenacity in difficult circumstances. I feel priviliged to 'know' someone as kind as you - and I don't say that in a touchy gropey feely kind of new-agey way.
Bathrooms it is then.Better is good enough.0 -
