Dumfries Galloway is way down the country but we think we have someone who will know where we can get one - couldn't fit one in the car as they'll be a M x M x M if they are 1000ltr.

Just been out as a car was up the road parked , lights on , been there for ages - just near the sheep hill gate. I thought suspicious so we went up & it was a young couple who were on a rally & he was on his phone.

    That's woken me up!

this is to get a head of water to keep up the pressure.

Could you drill a borehole to get water under steady pressure (may need a submersible pump) and filtered from going through permeable strata?

Lucille - don't feel under any pressure if you can help it. I've been down that route too, but what doesn't get done doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. What matters is that you get your self ready for the time ahead.

I am in such a guddle in the caravan - OH's bro is coming soon I just feel paralysed with what's to be done.

Yes, IHS a bore hole would be good, but a pump is a lot of money. Also borehole drilling here is incredibly expensive to bring the plant in - it's crazy. It rocketed in price about three years ago when it became popular to do ground source heat pumps. Geo-thermal energy stuff became the trendy must-have thing.

Sun has come out this evening, an event so rare as to need recording

Fishes like their new filter, it creates a current along the front of the tank which they swim against, like an endless exercise pool. Like birds, the shoal keeps changing the lead fish who goes to the back for a rest :)

Am about to pull out a group of 'over' foxgloves which will create space for something more permanent. Am thinking about a columnar tree, possibly sorbus aucuparia fastigiata

Well it rained here early yesterday, but I still managed to cut the grass in the afternoon.

The plumber was a no show again, down to emergencies, and no one from the kitchen co is responding either. However, I had a work schedule from them in the post and nothing happens until a week today, so we can get the room painted. :D

I'm helping DD2 find a flat today, so that should be fun....not! I've seen enough student accommodation, and so has she, but her man will be a big earner one day....hopefully.
