    Morning all,

Looks like this summer is a total washout for us thus yearv( in more ways than one lol)

Sounds as though you are going great guns there Davesnave..

We are waiting for the builder to come over and give us a quote for laying the new floor, itnis something we could have done, but we got so much going on at the moment with work etc.. I really don't know my ar&se from my elbow.. With huge decisions that we have just made etc...

Piglets are doing great, just like huge lumps of lardy bacon on legs lol...

Managed to get to wilkos yesterday late afternoon and buy about 35 packs of seeds for 10p a pack.. Forward thinking for next year.. Wasn't a huge variety left, but what I had will do me fine...

    RIP Cilla. :A

Crikey, when people I think of as relatively young are suddenly no more, I realise how late I left this building/smallholding/creating a garden lark!

Alfie, you're like me; you'd always find something to keep you busy, even if there was nothing pressing, but then there is always something needing done, so that hypothetical situation never arises. :o

I'm also wondering where the week went... and where this one will go as well.:( BIL is to be married soon and....wait for it.....they are coming here to their caravan for the honeymoon!
Yes, the caravan full of all our spare clothes and carp! DW is frantically painting a bedroom in the hope that it will be ready to receive said carp in time.

Sad news about Cill Black :A

I just had to buy my dd's school shoes :eek::eek: they were a ridiculous amount of money so her feet will need to stay the same size all year ;)

The weather up here has been dreadful AGAIN and I am so tired of endless dark clouds and rain, drizzle, rain, drizzle. If it was not August I would have the heating on and the snuggly blankets on the bed. I really want to get out into my garden.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

Goodness Dave. A caravan for a honeymoon - well, I suppose they will be fine & it'll be a novelty - crambed up together.

Yes,it has poured down again.I put a wash on, but by the time it finished it was lashing down. I have not done owt in the garden for so long Rummer it's just been rubbish weather all year.

Alfie - sounds like the car boot was a waste of a day? I too am achieving ziltch - I have developed a hacking cough & feel like I've been swallowing broken glass. I'm off to my bed as I am jiggered. The doors are good, pleased.

The plumber is an !!!. His mate tried to negotiate, but he as just out of order & was made to sit outside.......like a naughty child. Just when it was all negotiated - he threw his dummy out of the pram again. He wanted a ridiculous amount of money & instead of picking holes in the nonsense OH just pointed out a few bare facts - which his mate understood.
OH then said well that's my offer & you've 24 hours to think it over ex plumber - he did phone up all grovelling - yurkkkk. He must have sobered up.
We seem to have found all the trades wth 'issues'- I've run out of confidence in being able to judge people - well in OH's abilities - he thinks the best of everyone......well he did.

Choille.. I personally would say x amount take it or leave it, or take me to court, call his bluff. . and say x amount has been deducted due to non completion of work, or for days when he did not turn up. Don't think he will have much work anywhere in the future.

Weather is crap here.. And doesn't look as though it's going to change, so making sure I got a waterproof coat etc for the bulldog this week...
