Not mine.:A Managed to match my insurer's quote using LV, who do business over t'internet, anytime.
And all's well that ends well, 'cos I got DW out of a social event she was not looking forward to, but she couldn't say so earlier! :rotfl:0 -

Sorry IHS, but I totally disagree with this *advice*Eight years ago we had been going through a pretty bad time (serious health issues and loss of a parent after a prolonged illness) and DH in his distress forgot to re-insure DS's (then aged 17 and about to sit four A levels) car. He was chased by the police, pulled over and cautioned (in front of DH & I who were passengers) then went through a horrifying time whilst awaiting prosecution. It was only thanks to the efforts of our amazing family solicitor who put forward mitigating circumstances, that the police dropped the whole issue......
I would NEVER, EVER advise anyone to forgo getting their vehicle insured, whatever the circumstances or for however brief a period
BD, great to see you back- hope all is ok with you guys? Loved the pic of your 'girls' on the chicken thread
xxx
I have been absent the last couple of weeks as we suffered a nasty stalking incident by a family member on Facebook, which prompted us to rethink our online security, quit FB altogether (no loss as I hate the place personally) and take a self-imposed break from all things forum relatedMortgage-free for fourteen years!

I think IHS's comment was tongue in cheek more than advice...
high-lighting the twa*s that don't bother.

looooove a bargain ...
Lovely amount of flowers there for £3!!! :A
I love a bargain too, so I'm pleased to say I've just won a wheeled brush cutter at last, at a fair price too, though waiting to bid till the last 30 seconds did my head in!:eek:According to the owner, who sounds elderly and straight, it's only ever been used twice. As luck would have it, DW is in his area.........what a coincidence!
So glad to see you posting again, phoebe. We wondered where you'd gone.
And Better Days is here too...:TWith Rummer and lucielle also dropping by, it's definitely a quorum, whatever that is! :rotfl:0 -
Congrats on your eBay win... You have been waiting a while for one at the right price...
I love a bargain too... Those are lovely flowers Alfie...
Welcome back pheobe..flipping heck, re family member stalking... Hope its sorted, and not too serious..

Waiting for one of our sows to give birth... Had a bit of a panic yesterday afternoon when I was at the ranch on my own... But hubby reminded me that he more or less slept in with her for a few days wit her on the lead up to her last litter... She is a bit of a drama queen...soooo as soon as she has there will be some piggy pics posted lolWork to live= not live to work0 -

A few more successes from 'rescue plants', the pepper has set fruits and one of the orchids (Dendrobium?) has managed a smattering of flowers.
Also, the giant knapweed (Centaurea macrocephala) I brought with me has finally kicked into gear and is chest high with plenty of buds.
Still very cool (16C) though...
Fish situation isn't the best at the moment- maybe it is time for a different species as pets -
