:D " apparently i have to see doc if its still there [by feel] by monday
:( this was after getting to the appointment an hour early due to me relying on the town centre clock ....:o so i went for a wander ... went into this uber posh shop that had a sign saying "all sale goods half the sale price"...... well ONE just had to go in
i sauntered amongst the "real housewives of lymington" .... in my old jacket and wellies ...:D :rotfl::rotfl: and afterwards noticed i also had half a bale of hay attatched to my jumper

We've just been commenting on the way the nights are drawing out now....and, of course, we're letting the birds out earlier too.
Did I say 'we?' In the morning, only one of us is usually around for reveille .......!
After eating myself silly in B*****ple Ho*wd*ns yesterday, we ordered from an entirely different branch today and did a much better deal. The manager called by here a while ago and said he'd see us right. So much for loyalty!

Obviously, sorting out a picture is more difficult if you don't have a lot of resource of energy etc.
<snip>
Sorry, misread your post.Getting picture is a pain in the butt. I need to get one for my driving licence. I got some done about 3 years ago but didn't manage to send off, so need new ones now. Not sure I'll ever drive again anyway, but can't at all until get new license. Actually will need new for blue badge this year I think, so if get done now prob will do for both.
OH just applied for a blue badge. His condition is getting very worrying & it he's not getting any help with pain apart from being perscribed drugs that caused massive allergic reactions - AE is 70 miles away but we had to get there on 2 occasions.
<snip>
Oh Choille. so sorry to hear that. I do hope your OH gets his BB without hassle. And also hope he gets a bit more help from NHS too. If he's being treated surely the pain should gradually abate? Hugs to you both.0 -
OH is waiting to see a consultant about his ankles as he's getting almost unable to walk without being in agony. This has happened steadily over the past year, but has got to the point that he can hardly go out on sites especially if it slopes. He really is hobbling & he wakes up when he moves in bed.0

Better Days, how's your DH's Panto going?
Ours has plateaued I think, and that's before most of us have learned all our words!
We're really missing someone to give strong direction, and to wield a red pen where there's far too much waffle. No one wants to upset anyone else, that's the problem.
I'm lucky. My bits only total about 7 minutes, most of which is just slapstick. In that time, I help my partner give mouth to mouth resuscitation, use a defibrillator, do kung-fu, and I also have my knickers fall down. All pretty standard stuff for a lady from the WI... Ooh, Young Man!
Well for the first time it appears that everyone has actually learnt their lines and their 'actions' - knicker dropping included :rotfl::rotfl:before the first night. There is an aura of quiet confidence which I haven't seen before and which I supspect is a prelude to disasterBut because it's panto no one will know it wasn't supposed to be like that.:D:D:D
They've sold out again - including a block booking from the WI (will you be there in character although I not sure Pakenham is ready for knicker dropping, or perhaps only on Saturday night) but there is talk of not doing it next year as the same people are doing all the work every year.
But they just all can't resist as it is a great social get together on winter evenings.
Love the garden Fay. Last year Lead the Good Life had some great offers of 10 bareroot shrubs for £10. I bought a few ahem, and most have survived. It might be worth popping over there to see what they have.
Phoebe have you gone for a tap like that gold swan one on the Have a Look at This thread????:eek::eek::eek:
For those of you who don't partake of the Housing board - picture 12 is what I was thinking of :rotfl:https://www.aspc.co.uk/search/property/325702/29-North-Silver-Street/Aberdeen/
And the thread
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3403965
The 'have a look at this' thread is really worth a browse when you feel that your renovations aren't going anywhere - there have been some gems on there, one of my favourites was the house with the fish pond in the living room - remember that one phoebe?
CTC I'd definately go with a local firm. As Dave says the slick marketing of the likes of Anglican and Everest has to be paid for. We got 2 doors, one set of french doors and 14 windows supplied and fitted by a local chap for under £7,000. We knew he was good as he did the windows in our previous property and they still looked great after 10 years. (Apologies to those with UPVC phobia's:o)
Mr BD had an accident at work yesterday, fell over on some ice whilst on delivery. Sore and grazed knee and painful wrist. Couldn't find the accident book at the local office so it has been written down in any old book, probably the one for ordering elastic bands. He rang his manager who told him he'd have to go into the main office as all accidents were now logged on 't computer, but of course 't computer is only at the main office.............
Reading through the thread - Not a good week for health problems - sorry to hear:(:(:(:(
But at least Dave has proved there is such a thing as a free lunch :beer:It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

It's the time of year when we're at our lowest, I think.
Knew I wasn't right a week ago, but yesterday I realised that despite drinking half a litre of cider vinegar, this kidney stone was definitely 'passing through.' _pale_
Who knows, maybe it did dissolve a bit, but it was still the size of a small meteorite!:eek::eek:
Much more comfortable now.
Yeah, too much information.......:o
Anglican Windows? Don't they only supply church and chapel conversions....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
PS. I've given up the "Look at This!" thread for a while. It wasn't the time spent on the thread I grudged, so much as the hours delving through Rightmove et al, looking for something to post!
I'll be at your DH's Panto in spirit. No one will know, but in any event my knicker dropping is all in the best possible taste. No one sees anything.
Indeed, our Panto is rigorously checked for unsuitable content. Only two weeks ago, someone objected to the line: "In my youth, I was very fond of Fanny."
It's now, "In my youth, I adored Dora."
Personally, I much preferred the first version; it was Fanny-er.0 -

You have to pray for the funds before you can afford their ridiculous prices;);) and only god knows how they think they can justify their quotes.......
Kidney stones the size of a metorite - oooowchIt is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Dave - I hope you are okay after the kidney stone passing. I hear that they are agony. Is there anything that causes them?
Panto talk in February? It is a long road for dame twanky?
Stew popped in yesterday & he'll be back up with a joiner in a few weeks so I'd best try & get some money together as I have been spending it on frivolous things such as trailers & food - as you do. I did hope that we would of found our plumber again but he's really gone to ground. Could do with a pack of hounds to flush him out. ....shotgun at the ready......0
