Welcome to Moneysavingfamilycomp, who is member #290.

Big question is, will we make it to 300 by the end of the year?.

Not posted much on here lately, as not been able to save any money.
I lost my mum on the last day of 2018 and took the decision to buy out my brother's half of the family home. I also inherited a Jack Russell Terrier. Thus, there are now 2 of us plus a dog to cater for.

#288 reporting in....it's been a slow month but I've been trying hard. We went camping and I still have a lot of outgoings I'm steadily paying off.

May therefore saw £264 paid off my debts and £21 put into my EF account.

I'm not sure I'm ready to say that that is in there 'for good' as it were, as it will most likely end being used for something by the end of June so I've decided to just do a once a month report in here, and as long as it's gone up, I'm happy! :D Considering I had £0 in there at the beginning of May, that's definitely progress :D

July update (already! it's really flying by!) -

Paid £221 off the debts, EF is now at £31.02 - only £10 added this month but it got used for it's true purpose last week when my eldest came home with a hole worn through the bottom of his shoes so we used £13 of my EF to buy him a new pair.....3 weeks from the end of term

Anyway...aside from that I've also managed to put £140 into my car savings ready to put new tyres on the car which I've been meaning to do for 2 weeks now but never seem to remember to book it in - I will get it done. Whatever change I have will stay in the car savings to go towards the service and MOT in October.

Onwards and upwards for July. We have a weekend away planned for the summer holidays but other than that it's not looking too expensive (hope, hope!) so Ii'd like to hit £50 in the EF and another £250 gone from the debts.

Well done everyone on the progress so far! :T:beer::j
