2 more new members. Will have to relocate from the phonebox to a small room at the back of the pub.
The way I am adding to my EF is by transferring spare pennies across from my main account to my savings account. It will normally be less than 99p, but this week I took the dive and rounded-down to the nearest £10.Never Knowingly Understood.

Welcome aboard INTBDF and all the other new members who have popped in since I was last online!
2015 is going to be my year too! Well hopefully... My budgets have taken a dent this weekend. Mostly on lazy, fattening take aways
So will have to list so more stuff on ebay to ensure I have something extra to add to my EF later in the month.
Well done everyone, it's fantastic the progress we are all able to make this close to Christmas :T:T0 -
I look at it this way. My mortgage is £169 p/m, so every £170 I put into my EF potentially covers 1 months mortgage should something happen.
If I can get 3 months mortgage saved then I am going to be very happy indeed.Never Knowingly Understood.

Love the idea, seems realistic for someone like me who never manages to have savings.

I currently have £38.19 in an ISA which I'm going to use as the start of my emergency fund. In which case I need to sort out my ISA to a better interest paying one - hadn't bothered when the interest rate dropped as there was so little in there!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,935.00
Total paid off - £9,665.89 (61% paid off)0 -
Morning all
Just added another £3.76 after tidying my bills account (rounding down). I have decided between now and New Year to add as much as I can to my Emergency Fund and then start looking at my debts. I am also doing the £5 a day challenge so hopefully I'll be able to add some from this.

I like the idea of concentrating on the EF for a set period of time. I have been trying to overpay to my debts when I can but this has meant very little is being added to the EF. I don't want to stop the overpayments but using your idea I think it might set myself to overpay to debts by £30 and anything over that can hit the EF.
Ideally I'd like to see my EF reach 10% by 31st December.
So after reviewing the accounts I had £22.15 left over from last weeks budgets (from my petrol allowance as I was not at work everyday).
I have overpaid to my CC by £20 and Tilly Tidied £2.15 into the EF.
Have a great week everyone.#24 - £1000 Challenge - £397.24 (39.72%) / £10000 -

:hello:#7 checking in with a £4.50 addition giving me a total of £17.92. Can't throw too much at the emergency fund as we've had so many emergencies lately!
Still sans plumber, electrician and fencer but tomorrow I'm having some double glazing fitted so at least we will be sans blustering wind too!!
Ringing around plumbers (again) and electricians to try to get things on the move tomorrow. Wish me luck please!!MBNA 237.47/13997.47
