Could I join this thread? Although I have debt to pay off, I think it's really important to also put money away in case of an emergency (something that I have never done!) This might take me a while as I will only be able to put a little away a month but every little helps, right?Save £12K in 2020 #58 - £454.58/£5,0000

Welcome to our newbies
Another £5.08 added today now at £39.90 (3.9%) . I'm really surprised how much it is creeping up with the Tilly Tidies. I must remember though that my Tilly tidy figures reduce my overall grocery budget , so we will have to see how this system pans out over the month#24 - £1000 Challenge - £397.24 (39.72%) / £10000 -

Thanks for the welcome. I'm using my ISA as my emergency fund and looking to put away at least £50 per month however I've just changed from monthly pay to fortnightly pay so having to watch how the cash flow is.
I am also planning to take out enough money to last me a week and anything left over (post pub visit on a Friday!!) will be added to the fund.
At this current rate, I should have my £1k EF by May 2016 but I want to get it looooooooong before that. I'm going to se myself a target of £1k by the end of 2015.0
