Welcome MadCoderWhatCodesAtMidnig. You are member #151.

Not sure how much of the thread you have read, but if it is more than just the last page, you will see that it is a stroll and not a race.

Some of us got to the target by shear luck (in my case, a Tax refund) whilst others are plodding along adding a few pence each week.
It matters not as it all adds to the 'pot' and means you are in a better financial position to cope when the shtf.

DuranGirl, would it be a better option to let your mum buy you a new car on the basis that you will pay her back for it (even if she dosn't want you too). At least you will have a car that works rather than one that you cannot trust.

  • Well, it's technically Friday now so before I pop off to bed...

£1 in for the second week of my 50p "52 week challenge" plus 33p round-down.

Can't believe I've saved almost £40 in one week - plus extra stuff for the sealed pot challenge.

I had to take out the money in my savings because my phone bill was huge and would've left me with nothing. The phone company was supposed to take £30 off but they didn't :(
