Been shifting money around. £2.05 into my 2nd EF, £4 to my defaulted overdraft and have paid-up my service charge for the year.

  • Please keep posting on here as well, patman. I must be one of the few people in the country who doesn't 'do' Facebook. Closed my account years ago because of security issues. Would hate you to disappear:eek:
  • Thanks buffythedebtslayer, its really interesting to see all the different ways that people approach savings.

Nothing to add to the EF atm, the car has been dropped at the garage tonight ready for it to be fixed tomorrow so fingers crossed it doesn't cost more than quoted otherwise we will have to go begging again:o

carbootcrazy, you are not alone, i am also one of the few without fb :)
  • EF has been fed by £8.29 today :T

    Rounding down accounts again :)

I'm nominally in, although I'm working on clearing £4,500 worth of debt in the next 12 months (that might not seem like a lot to some of you folks, but it's more than a quarter... actually closer to a third of what I get per year).

Doing that will leave me with £75 per week (after rent and bills) for food, clothing, miscellaneous expenses and !yikes! emergencies.

So might not make any significant inroads before next Christmas, although if I only have £200 or something it'll be a start right?

Edit: just got the rather excellent news that E-ON are finally (oh my god finally) done with my annual account overview and are reducing my DD from £71 to £49 so that extra £22 will be going into savings

(For those wondering why it was so high... it started out as £35 but putting the heating on (33p/hour/per lil oil radiator. No central heat) last winter shoved me into a massive deficit and they had to double my DD to clear it. I think they've now worked out that £49 is good middle-ground)

Don't worry. I will still be on here. FB is just a way of letting those who have never heard of MSE.

I have a couple of websites, so am looking at installing 'Diaspora'. This is somewhat better than FB as it is more 'intelligent' than FB.
