  • Decided to round down both my current accounts and put £3.10 into savings.

Also started a 50p 52 week challenge today (I know most people start those in January but I figured I'd tie it in with clearing my debt by November, and if I start now the 'big payments' will be in October 2016 so before xmas ;) ) so that's 50p in as well.

  • Rounded down the CAs and popped 95p into the savings. That'll be me for a few days, I expect.

    Hello everyone

I haven't been around on this thread lately - the guilt from not saving towards the emergency fund had me 'avoiding' you all ;)

Today I transferred £80 to the emergency fund, this was earnt from working some additional hours. It felt so good to be able to finally update my signature from £20/£1000 to £100/£1000

I don't expect it to update much now before end of January because that event that drains any potential for saving is looming - you know, that Christmas thing :) I have budgeted for that and don't need to go anywhere near my meagre emergency fund, but very much doubt I will be able to add to it in December.

Hope you are all keeping well.
    Bye for now

  • Wow, great addition January2015!

I thought I was done for a few days but I had an amazon payment to make (none of the supermarkets or even H*lland&Barratt stock nutritional yeast flakes so... to the internet! Cheapest was £5.07 inc p&p yikes!)

Popped the 93p change in the EF to round down. Broke £5 woo!

  • May I join too?
I can't remember if I already asked but I think when I did,
I never followed through with saving.

But now I am pushing myself no matter how tough it gets for me,
    I'll still try.

For this month, I started with £0 now I have £66.53 in my savings account and
I have about £6/£7 in my savings tin which will eventually go into my emergency fund.

  • My washing machine has died:mad:. Would happen when I've a [STRIKE]pile[/STRIKE] mountain of urgent washing for OH that needs to be done asap.

Cue for EF to take a bashing, but that's what it's there for after all. So glad I've got it and not having to go into panic mode;)
  • 42p from rounding down after buying an electric blanket (I can't afford to heat my flat at all it's just not worth it, so I'm just going to heat me instead)
