My fund has stalled on only £25.70 - would have been more this month but the car failed its M.O.T! £450 later...

Still, that's 2.57% of my target which is better than zero! Right?

Had IIB drop into account, so transferred £30 over to ef. This is now (just) above the £100 mark.

Sorry you've had an expensive month:(

Cars, eh? Money-guzzlers in every way possible:eek:. My MOT is due in early July and after all the troubles and expenses I've had with my car this past 6 months I'm very nervous. Seems to be running fine at the moment but I'm no expert:o

  • Well done, lazer-zxr:T. That's a fantastic achievement in such a short time, don't apologise for being so pleased with yourself:)

I see from your signature that you've got a new car 'pot' developing nicely too. That's what I want more than anything. Good luck with that.

Wishing you every success now in polishing off your debts:beer:.

Nice one lazer. I don't remember you asking to join, so hence you have no EF#. However, that is not important.

What is, is the fact that you have reached your target. Could you let us know how long it took?.

Well done on reaching the target. Good luck with hitting those debts.

Final bill for car was £206 so will pay that tomorrow. Have transferred a big whack across to my EF. It now stands at £288.64. Well pleased with that.

  • Wow - a huge well done to both Lazer and Trixxibell

Patman well done on the big transfer - bill for the car wasn't too bad! :D

Well folks .... I'm going to have to dip into my EF for my car tax :o I do have a car budgeting pot but it's really not recovered from having to change car last year - and as if that wasn't a big enough expense, I also had to buy a 2nd set of wheels & tyres (which def weren't in the budget as the ones on the old car should've lasted another 2 years .... they just didn't fit the new one!) - anyway, it ended up with a huge negative balance (I had to borrow from other pots) and it's really only just recovering .....

I've scrapped together £30 from my coin pots but still £100 short and it seems a logical option to use the EF - rather than the OD!

So that's my EF pot down to £375 ......

On the plus side, I got my car booked in for its service when I'm on hols (garage is about 25 miles away - although they will collect / drop off from my work :T) so I'll just wait for it (about 1.5 hours) and then I can pop into town!
