  • Devere has now been formally notified that if the signs at Discovery Court are not removed by close of business on Monday, or an accurately dated contract with the landowner covering their use from Wednesday 1 October is not supplied, then a complaint will be made to their trade body, Bournemouth Trading Standards and Wiltshire Constabulary alleging fraud by false representation contrary to section 2 of the Fraud Act 2006.

Good going I hope they take note, about time they got a taste of their own medicine.

Dorset Police I think you meant, unless if Wiltshire is where their registered premises are.

Any Bournemouth people, how can we get this into the local press?

    Dorset indeed.

Sorry, I've been working in Wiltshire today and forgot that Bournemouth is across another boundary.

Press wise, as the Defendant wants anonymity, and I don't actually exist ;) it's difficult to find a front-man.

With a mail drop address in Bournemouth and their registered office at an accommodation address in N London, any action by the authorities is going to be at arms length. The quickest way to actually get hold of someone from Devere would be to go and park in the Disabled section at Castlepoint !

Old evidence has it that local Trading Standards tried to make contact with Devere prior to the formation of the Ltd Co but got nowhere.

I'm in Poole at the weekend and will have a quick look into Discovery Court to see if the signs are down and maybe a look at some other Devere sites to photo the signage and logo.

Todays quiz. Of all the 30 or so companies listed as being IPC AOS members on the IPC website, only one is listed without a website address. All the rest have listed websites and all of these open up on the links provided, except one. Can you guess the name of this parking company ?

Considering this company only joined IPC on the 2nd August they didn't take long to start taking the pi55. Funnily enough when this PPC was a member of the BPA their website didn't work for at least two years. Do you think they are trying to hide something?

I always said that Devere were playing their game on their manor and this is what made it so difficult for their targets. Hopefully that situation will now change very rapidly.

For some of us with long memories Bournemouth will always be in Hampshire.

and Slough will be in Bucks, Abingdon in Berkshire and Liverpool in Lancashire.

In real terms it makes no odds - the offence is being committed, and I'll report it.

Is it Discovery Court on Wallisdown Rd? I always thought that was gated business premises?

I was just curious how someone got a ticket as I thought it was only accessible by the businesses and staff that work there?

Most tickets are issued to staff working there. In fact, it has been reported that some temporary staff just last one day as they turn up, get a ticket then are so pi@@ed off they never return
