Woohoo, it's payday tomorrow :j
I think in going to attempt a balance transfer from DH card to mine, there's no way we'll be able to clear the balance by the end of next month (got nearly £500 to pay in travel expenses  )
Fingers crossed it goes through, although it won't be the end of the world if it doesn'tHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Just ordered my new sewing machine pedal (again! Hopefully this one works properly!)
Should be here Monday, got a few deliveries booked in that day so looks like a stuck at home day for me
Withdrawn £50 from my cashback account :j should have another £50 become payable soon so that's a hundred quid for my Christmas pressie shopping :j
I'm hoping to be able to do all Christmas pressies that are left for under a hundred quid using the cashbackshould be achievable as I've got plenty of gift cards to use too

Food shopping consisted of bread, milk, sliced meat, cereal and burger buns for tomorrow. The kids always seem to go through cereal super fast when I have it in the house, you can guarantee one runs out before the end of the week
Hi dipdap,
Just discovered your diary so was having a quick read & thought I'd comment on what you said about cereal.
When I was younger my mum used to do a monthly shop for groceries (apart from top up stuff like bread & milk).
Anyway, what she would do is me & my 2 sisters would get to choose any box of cereal we wanted each. So one box each of anything. But that was our cereal for the whole month. If we ran out we would then have to make do with the stores own brand cornflakes. You can guarantee we would more often than not make that cereal last!! She'd also do the same with packets of biscuits, one packet each for the month. All other treats & snacks were either plain old digestives (although I LOVE these anyway) or my mums home baked goodies.
Just thought it could be a way of keeping track of these items.
Good luck!0 -
Hi littlemissgiggles
Thanx for the tips
I think I shall start using that idea with some the kids cereal, only problem with one of them is she eats value Rice Krispies already which don't break the bank.
I'm thinking it could be nice to let them pick any cereal they like, would be a break from the norm
I need to get them sat down with shopping lists, need to be stricter on this shopping malarkeyHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Morning diary
How is there 40 people on my list of giftees for Christmas (including family)
Looking through I already have pressies for over half, so it's not all bad.
Most of the people on my list get a gift from the present cupboard or a cheap bottle of wineHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
