That is the rat?! This has to be a wind up
On a different note my mum is seriously phobic of snakes to such an extent that she can't even say the word. However she wouldn't dream of complaining to a company that used a picture of one or showed one in an advert/program.
.
No company can think of every kind of phobia before uploading a picture especially when some people can even have a phobia of things like buttons
I do sympathise with your mum, I am the same. I was reading a magazine, came across a picture of a you know what, screamed and threw the magazine across the room, OH had to remove offending page before I would touch magazine again. He thought it was funny, but he doesn't have any phobias so doesn't realise how truly distressing that can be0 -

We call them "one of them things"
If I'm watching a programme that I know she has taped and one of those things turn up I ring her and let her know the timeframe to skip and pre-warn her of adverts ect. Even my OH does it for her too now which I think he does for the brownie points
The very worst time was when we were in NYC we walk down a road just off Times Square a bloke walked passed with one of those things I saw at the extact moment my mum did
she ran into a shop and was practically clawing at the back door into the stock room screaming trying to get away whilst smacking herself in the head trying to get rid of the sight in her mind. I paid the guy a $150 to go away so I could get my mum out of the shop and back to our hotel.
