    I think it would have been better for Barclays to reply along the lines of, ' A RAT, Madam! No, you are mistaken, it is most definitely a hamster' and perhaps they could have sent pics of both a rat and a hamster for comparison purposes. That would be good customer service i think.

    If it was Santander, then customer services could have explained that it couldn't have been a rat as Franco had them all shot!

    Can I sue the OP please? I have a phobia of hamsters and having been subjected to pictures of them throughout this thread - which obviously I am obliged to read - I am having flashbacks to 'Nam.

    I may never go to the rodent enclosure at the zoo again.

    Ah, it's cute :)

    We had two of those, they're Roborovski Dwarf Hamsters, very small and very cute little things. Unfortunately, they don't live very long, ours both died when they were aged just 2.
