  • I am sorry for your loss Brogden.

May Creda rest in peace with the fridges... bless her... :rotfl:

PS making headway on the mortgage is vital too and I know you know this, so don't try and explain yourself. You are very right that it is a priority! It is the roof over your head :)

Oh Lilt.......with the weight of my loss could I be thinking of mischief? :( I have been walking the streets alone......a man questioning the very meaning of being.....and the kitchen is so woefully quiet :(

I suppose it might cheer me up if I could think of something to get mischievous about.......but I cannot at the moment.

Just read your thread.......cheer up :)
  • Thoroughly cheered...

Now to wake my demon child and become uncheery for a few shrieking hours until she goes to bed. ;)

    The long and winding road,
    That leads to your door,
    Will never disappear,
    I’ve seen that road before……

It was a busy week, mainly because two days were taken up in planning meetings at work. I have previously expressed my feelings on employment, corporations and the nature of this creature - the ‘corporate man or woman’……….. don’t we just love them :(?

Anyway……whilst I have had concerns and always will, as I sat there listening (and smiling, chatting and joking like corporate men do) I started to see again that old dusty grey ribbon which is that long and winding road stretching out into the distance as far as I could see. This was a little bit of relief I suppose. Life would appear to be continuing :).

Whilst somewhere on that road would be pain, suffering, heartbreak and compromise, at each bend there would be a small payment of ackers into Brogden’s bank account at the Gnat’s Vest…….and things would go on………debts would reduce and life would continue. The planning weren’t too bad for a load of corporate nonsense really………albeit it won’t actually work in the long run…….then I will enter another of these phases……:(

Anyway, I felt that ‘yes’ I should make the payments to the mortgage I had been wittering on about – the standing order has already been increased to pay to the building society my net holiday pay :T (less 40% tax :( )

The road has come back into view.......and on the subject of debts, I realised I was wrong to want to be too impatient. I will have some funds available at the end of February or early March and believing in the 'medium term' that my office of employment with the corporation will continue, I will use the lump sum in tandem with monthly pledges to hopefully give me maximum leverage with the predators. This idea came to me when speaking to a school leaver at the fab DCA ‘Carboot :p.’

My work on securing F&F’s (sorry partial and finals……P&F’s) is not going as well as I would have liked but I have been told my Mrs. B that I am just simply ‘tight.’ Well MSE is all about being ‘tight’ isn’t it? Sorry but I will be loosening up and relaxing a bit more. I will bore you all with more precise arithmetic reasoning on all of this shortly but my posts are always too long…..:(

Hope everybody is enjoying the weekend!!!!

    Broggers :)
