Thanks Purple Penguin......fantastic name
!!
I always liked penguins and purple. I guess you are a purple and white penguin? Not purple all over are you? You would certainly stand out on the ice even more if you were!!
Thanks x 1000 for your comments - I really appreciate it and like anybody on here with a diary......we would all give it up if nobody was reading it and it is great that you have come and told me and encourage me to keep rambling on!!
Take care and please come back again.

Hi Brogden, yep penguins are fab, I'm of course one of those stylish penguins with purple and white, I wouldn't wana be a trashy bird, but it's a good accent colour to have.
Definitely don't give up, or we'll all have to come and hunt you down dragging you back for an update!
Given that those priority predators are giving you enough breathing room to use the envelopes, that just means the envelopes are even more of a fantastic idea!
Have a good day, it's rather nippy out there!

The envelope idea is childish I know but anything to simplify things......there's either too much in the envelope for the day (yeah)!!or not enough........BUT I know where I stand and that is all I was trying to achieve.
You are obviously the most stylish type of penguin.....now don't slip!!

I am sure it didn't come without sacrifice and some pain but you got there and are staying there :T A 'clappy' for you my dear if not for me at the moment. I am so pleased for you and messages like yours make me want to be...... errrrr......just like you (the only reason I hesitate is 'cos I'm a bloke) Somethin' 'as to be easy :rotfl:!!!

I agree. Have subscribed. Keep telling us what you're doing with the envelopes. Is each envelope for one day to pay for everthing, not just personal spends?
Hi Verbatim,
The debts, utilities and routine bills are paid by DD mainly on payday. What is left is divided by the number of days to the next payday and that 'subdivided' amount placed in each envelope. I know I pretty much need £30.00 per day but that has to pay business expenses too although those will be paid back to me shortly after the end of the month.
Mrs Brogden works part time and buys everything for a meal for four for each night - in reality I pay for bits of food, cleaning things too and Mrs. B's ciggies. There's give and take but that's broadly how it works:)
Thank for visiting and make sure you come again

Seconded or thirded
Do keep adding to your diary - I'm reading it tooand no matter which way the financial rollecoaster is going at a given moment in time, the excitement of a few pence saved or made here and there is to be shared. Or is that just me?
:rotfl:
Now, this hair do of yours.... :rotfl:
Oh Ali.......honestly!
I told you about my hair on your thread so that its just between you and me  I don't have a 'bouffant' (whatever that is) I said it just for fun(as though you didn't know!!!)
Yes.....I know......you've lost interest now
Thanks again for reading and for putting up with me
