I started shopping in aldi over a year ago..I love it. I get all my shopping there and anything else from home bargains. This saves me lots. I used to do a full shop every week in a**a. Don't need to.
Having read all the posts I will be trying lidl..didn't think it could top aldi but perhaps it can.
The only thing in aldi that didn't shape up was the norp*k which was supposedly like Lurp*k...wasn't!!
Looking forward to trying lidl this week...Will update.Mortgage 22 years £190,419 at 2.84% fixed for 2 years from 1st July 2014

I have to agree with that.0 -
There's an Aldi opening here soon, and I usually go to the Lidl in the next town over so this has been an interesting read for me, I'll certainly be checking the new Aldi out when it opens and will be comparing products and prices to see which I prefer.0

I do my main weekly shop at Aldi, there is a Lidl a little bit nearer but we find we prefer the Aldi own brands, so far the only thing I havent been keen on is the baked beans, but the kids like them so its not much of an issue. DD even uses their health and beauty products (as do the rest of us) and shes a brand snob normally and watches loads of beauty vlogs. That said I will go to Lidl for some of their Christmas products as they are good and will go there if traffic busy and dont want to queue. I put a reminder on my calender to get the £5 off voucher and get it on the way to work, they sometimes have the paper in store too.Thoughts to all. Mrs D.

I also use both Aldi and Lidl. Most things I've tried from either shop have been edible and good value! I've been into Lidl this morning and the kilo bags of sugar are now 59p.
My OH loves the Lidl pot noodles (uses them for snacking on at work, he does get proper food too!), and at 39p they are one of the cheapest around.
Aldi gin is lovely
The Christmas food in both is great.0
