RealWindowPrices - do you manufacture or do you use a supplier for your windows?
Just wondering as this might impact on the accuracy of your advice. (not that I'm suggesting it's flawed in any way).0 -
"We supply light grey, dark grey, Basalt, grained anthracite and matt anthracite all on white so i'm sure the majority of companies out there can supply exactly what you need"

But hello to you my fellow Bristolian
I do not know where RealWindowPrices is located but thought I would hijack this thread with a simple question. MB Frames did not receive a substantial order from me due to their dubious sales practices and marketing. Was I unlucky, or is this par for the course?0 -

Surely no one can say unless you reveal what the "dubious sales practices and marketing" actually was?0 -
I've had my quote in for Residence9:
We're having plain glass in the main window and Georgian style top, small window.
Box room 1100x1560
Bedroom Bay Frames x 2 frames at 654 x 1560
Bedroom Bay 1100 x 1560
Lounge made up of four frames total size 2000 x 1500
Windows plus fitting in London £6000.
Does this sound about right?0 -
Hi RealWindowPrices,
Do you have any experience with Heritage Rose uPVC?
I've got a guy coming round next week to quote for four Victorian sashes, each around 870mm x 1630mm - it'd be good to have some idea what to expect.
Thanks,

Generally speaking you should be looking at between £400 - £450 per window supplied and fitted although Heritage Rose have a lot of claims stating it has been accepted for some conservation areas etc etc but I cant see any reason why that would put the price above £450 each. These prices are for white upvc if you are having woodgrain please let me know and i'll update for you
Just to confirm that I've just received the quote for the windows and fitting - it's £5200 inclusive of VAT - nearer £6000 when I include the wooden architrave that I want instead of the plastic one they supply. I'm in London£1500 per window is too expensive for me, so I'll be leaving it for now unless they bring their quote down. I could get some other quotes, but as they'll be the same windows, it's likely to be a similar ballpark figure I guess.

Hi real, sorry for the late reply we manufacture conservatory roofs and buy in frames, I appreciate as we do around 200 frames a week our cost prices are pretty fantastic so I do add around 15% to try and quote closer to your average one man band may pay for his windows.0 -

Hi Furts, I am based in Bristol not to far from MB Frames, i'd really appreciate you explaining in a little more detail what the problem was with their services as in all honesty i've quoted for many of their existing trade customers and although we are a lot cheaper many won't even give us the chance purely because of the good service they receive from MB frames (It pains me to say!).0 -
Hi
A so called handyman damaged my 3 bathroom window and has disappeared from the face of the earth!
How do I measure these? should I include the frame which is actually in the wall?
thanks0
